I've paid to have photos restored by other people in the past. The results were adequate but the price was high enough to make me hesitate when thinking about doing it again. I really admire the historical photos Gerald Nash has refurbished and enhanced with colour. He has repaired and converted several old black and white family photos of mine into colour. I found that he is very approachable and his fees are very reasonable. While he knows a great deal about the colours that were prevalent over the decades, he’s happy to get as much information from each client before he applies the colour. Gerard always goes out of his way to make sure I'm totally pleased with the results.

I could type until my fingers fall off and couldn't say enough about Mr. Gerard. His work is truly TOP knotch and his attention to detail is immaculate.I had a old WW2 photo of two 30+ mission B-17 pilots (who mean more than anything in this world to me) restored and colorized by Mr. Gerard and when the final proof was shown to me it truly brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful job The Photo Mender did on our forty-five year old family photo that was damaged in moving. Not only was the damage digitally repaired, but it was an unexpected pleasant surprise to see that the picture was also brightened, with skin imperfections minimized. Also appreciated was the correction made in better centering the image in the photo than it had been in the original. Amazingly, the work done went beyond being a restoration of the original - it actually turned out to be an improvement on the original!
