Toothworks Masonville Place Dental

I’m writing this based on my experienced today. I have a schedule of dental cleaning today and I can compare the difference of dental hygienist’s competence and friendliness. I was not given or offered any sunglasses during cleaning like any dental clinics do to block the light. I can feel that the hygienist is on the rush and not gentle. If my mouth or head is not on the right position, her tone of voice is not friendly when asking me to move left or right. I don’t know what’s wrong with the dental hygienist. Maybe she’s not happy cleaning my mouth or she’s not comfortable dealing with Asian clients!

I broke my front tooth on a Friday afternoon and they got me an emergency appointment right away. The staff was excellent and I couldn’t have asked for the repair to go better. I am grateful for the staffs care and effort.

Within 6 months- I went from being in a dark place, losing teeth, severe gingivitis, recurrent abscesses, NO HOPE, debilitating anxiety, TOTALLY unable to go to a dentist due to fear and pain and ZERO dental regime growing up…. Which equated to a seemingly unreasonable amount of work including extractions, a bridge, multiple fillings, cleaning and scaling.. let’s not forget about the side of ANXIETY and fear that has stopped me from going over the last 29 years.. Never going to happen.To attending REGULAR dental appointments, having MORE THAN HALF of the necessary work completed, brushing my teeth daily, have ZERO pain, a working relationship with my dentist AND team, and look forward to the future and to continuing my dental journey…HOW?The team at Toothworks in Masonville mall- my dentist, hygienist and the office manager Jenn. With honesty, care, understanding and baby steps- this team has made such an impact in my life that I will always feel grateful to them. I am able to leave the clinic with a smile rather than uncontrollable tears and owe it all to Toothworks.10/10 would recommend.

Can’t say enough good things about the staff here. I get extremely anxious about dental work, they made me feel so comfortable. My schedule makes appointments hard to book and even after having to rebook twice they were still great about it. Although my procedure was long and complicated, they worked with my insurance to get the cost down to less than a cleaning fee with my old dentist. I will definitely be getting all my future work done here.

This happened 5 months ago but I was scared to speak up then and I’ll speak up now. My hygienist was very polite and so was the dental technician and everything was going smoothly until the dentist came in. I was talking about how I don’t like going to the dentist post wisdom teeth surgery and he decided to say this in the most creepy and borderline forcing his way on to me: “I will make you like the dentist.” I’m never coming back because I don’t feel safe and that is a huge red flag and completely unacceptable and unprofessional for a dentist

Our daughter had went there to get a cavity filled and they did a horrible job. They shaved the one way shorter then the other. Now she has to go back and hope they can fix it. After my review and a phone call they have corrected the situation and even went beyond expectations. Obviously was a mistake
