What an amazing store.. It's like the general stores of the last but bigger and better. Clean, well organized and with friendly staff. I wandered for almost an hour!

I recently moved here from the Vancouver area and have found this to be the friendliest and most helpful hardware store, that I’ve ever been in. Great staff and service!

I have made many purchases from Mouat's. I was there today, and helped by a very knowledgeable employee in the paint department. I believe her name was Gloria. I have always received great assistance from all the staff members, regardless of the department areas the worked in. Thank you

Their paint department is really helpful and very skilled, particularly at matching paint colours.

A long time hardware store on Salt Spring.If you see something on their website but it's not currently available in the store they will order it for you. You can decide after it arrives whether it's what you want.A great service that means you don't have to make a time-consuming trip off Island!

Amazing store! Love at first site! So many products and well organized.

Our company bought a water tank here to replace for one of our clients that leaked from the bottom once installed.(manufacturer flaw) we removed it and brought it back to exchange for one that was not leaking.(less then 24 hrs after the install)Management was an absolute gong show! They didn't want to replace it and insisted wanted me to try to repair a brand new tank that carried a price tag of around $650.00Then they reluctantly agreed to take it back once they realized how much money the company I work for spends but insisted that I keep the broken new tank and pay to dispose of it myself because all they need was the sticker".(We replace 50-60 tanks a year)It has been around two years since we have purchased any tanks from this location based on bad management and poor customer service skills.Most of the staff are stand up folks who go out of their way to help with your needs.That being said once David(former manager) left

Need to give a zero but, hey, we all know that's not possible. For some reason our Island Hardware store decided in this time & culture, that a column of heavy weapon knives & US flags at their entrance would be a good idea. After 27 yrs on Island & 80 yrs a Canadian, have never have been so disgusted!!

Terry at the customer service desk has cheerfully helped me with a variety of interesting asks over the last little while. He goes above and beyond to help me find what I need always with good humour and smile. Thank you Terry and thank you Mouat’s for being here for all our needs on this little island we call home.Lisa
