I made sure I included ALL the required items outlined on the checklist, got my money order, submitted my paperwork and had my Visa in less than a week. Not complicated. The people who have complained probably left things to the last minute and are looking for anyone but themselves to blame.

We are definitely impressed with the excellent service, but above all, we are so touched by the humanity and sensibility demonstrated by Flávia and Mr. Antônio towards us. Our experience with the consulate has been very positive. When validating our marriage certificate we were quickly responded to online for any changes or revisions needed for the application. They scheduled us to to accommodate the days that we were traveling in Vancouver and on arrival everything was very quick and friendly. Even helped us with registration to vote even though it wasnt why we there.

The staff is great, agreable, respectful and helpful. Not the bureaucracy that I would expect back home.Super quick and efficient service.Downsides: the public hours are too narrow 9:30 to 12 it is hard to accommodate the schedule.Services are expensive.Overall great experience

I agree with Korry B. Gathered all the supporting documents they asked for the tourist visa, got the certified cheque, had the photo taken, submitted everything and four business days later the visa was already ready for collection, so I picked it up on the fifth business day.Smooth and easy. Absolutely hassle-free.

No one to answer phone calls. They did reply to emails but in Portuguese even though I wrote them in English and my Portuguese is not very good. Could hardly make out what the emails were saying. They never answered my questions just copy and pasted regulations that did not clarify what I was asking. If I could give them zero I would.

Mixed review.. There was no updates to my application so I was unable to track the status of my visa request. Having said that, I am impressed at how quickly it was approved and returned. I was a little disappointed that my request for a multiple 5 year visa not given but happy none the less that I can go visit :)

Really nice place and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. I wasn't really expecting that (you know, government stuff aren't usually fun) but the process to renew my passport was super straight forward. Note that they don't accept credit, but you can pay the fees with debit.Good experience overall!
