The customer service here is terrible. The ladies that work there are extremely rude and act like they hate their lives. You get the stink eye if your kid is running around touching things but they don’t allow carts in there. And if you put your two year old in one of the baskets you get in trouble too. I was a super loyal customer. Went there almost every other day and spent hundred and hundreds of dollars and the one time I forgot my card it was a problem and they couldn’t just give me the discount even though every single one of them knows me and sees me there all the time. Now I look for the fabric and stuff I need online or anywhere else in town I can find it, fabricland is definitely a last resort place. Just terrible.

Consistently the most unwelcoming, nasty customer service in town. I am a new sewer. I had been to this store a few times over the past few years for odds and ends and always had poor experiences but brushed it off.I have recently taken up sewing and have tried to be a patron of this store since it is the closest, most convenient with the best selection, but I will not support a business that treats their customers with such contempt and disrespect.Shopping at this location has been quiet a disappointing experience to say the least. It seems I am not alone in my experience regarding rude, unfriendly, and unwelcoming behaviour.I was not going to go back after the last visit, but I broke down and went back to the Kamloops store to grab some interfacing. The lady at the till again was unfriendly and rude.Because this has been such a consistent experience and sealed my resolve not to deal with this business again, I felt it was necessary to comment on the consistent poor experience and lack of friendliness I receive each time I am in their store. I expressed that it saddened me because they have a great store and I would like to do my shopping there. In response the girl called the store manager to the checkout without asking me if I would like to speak with her, she then began carrying on loudly, about how she wasn’t a manager and didn’t have any control to change things. More offside behaviour aimed at making me feel uncomfortable because I had the nerve to address the rude behaviour. Due to her inappropriate response I thought maybe I should share my experience with the manager so I waited. When the store manager reached the till we began speaking, the girl behind the till became even more inflammatory and actually started yelling at me in front of the manager. When I calmly addressed the inappropriate continuation of unacceptable behaviour and the fact that she was actually yelling at me, she stormed off. I’ve never seen anything like it.I then calmly continued my conversation with the manager and shared the fact that over the past several weeks I had several unsatisfactory experiences while visiting this business, especially at the till, which ranged from very unfriendly and at times just blatantly rude with several members of the staff. I let her know that it seemed to be very common feedback when discussing this store with any of my sewing friends, as well as my mom’s social group. I had tried sending an email to the email address given to everyone making a low rated reviews, and received absolutely no response. Marlene’s response was to tell me that lots of people like their store so my experience really didn’t matter.I responded that may be the case, but there is considerable feedback regarding rude, unwelcoming and unfriendly behaviour and I felt she may want to know that my experience is not isolated.Unfortunately, I am convinced she is not interested in any honest feedback, as rather than acknowledging any of my concerns I was just handed another card for another manager and was given the blow off.Bottom line there is no accountability, no interest in providing any level of costumer service, be prepared to be treated like an inconvenience and don’t expect even basic manners.I went to the Vernon store this week as suggested by another reviewer and it is night and day different from the moment you walk in. The ladies are welcoming and helpful. Great selection. I’m dumping the Kamloops store and will go elsewhere. This business clearly doesn’t want my business or any of my friends or family as many have the same experiences. I am really saddened the franchise doesn’t step in here, as it obviously needs to be addressed above management. The email address they respond with is a waste of time. They do not respond to the emails and obviously don’t address the customer feedback. Such a shame.

The workers were very rude and disrespectful.. I was patiently waiting in line, and the cashier Mary comes to the till and helps another customer that wasnt in line. I was bothered because I had been waiting. I heard them talk and had a conversation, and Mary asks her if she'd like a bag. When I walked up to the till, she didn't say a word to me, I stood there in silence, very awkward. She forgot to add my 50% off (I didn't see this till after) she gave me my receipt and said can I have a bag?" She then says "we don't carry bags" then points to the sign on the counter "I heard you ask that lady for a bag though?" "Hers were small items" I replied "because mine aren't small items I don't get asked for a bag?" I grab my stuff and leave and while I'm.walking away she starts telling me "for future we don't carry bags in store" I was racially profiled."

I dont know what the complaing is about. I went on May 30 and when I enter, we were greeted by the cashier. Noone came to us which was fine as I didnt know which materiel I was going to buy. When the selections, a very happy lady asked if I was ready or needed help. I had a great experience and will be backl

The workers are distant, cold & unapproachable. More than one employee walked past us during our visit without even glancing at us let alone greet us. It felt as if we were invisible. I asked one worker a question & she provided the bare minimum information & actually seemed slightly annoyed. I don't shop here frequently & glad I don't for this reason!

I came into fabricland to spend a lot of money as I am a fashion designer and sometimes I like to find some deals on different prints. I travel all across BC to find fabrics. My 6-year-old son had to use a toilet and they wouldn't let us use their facilities. First fabric when I've ever been to that won't let you use there toilet.I was going to drop a couple thousand dollars. Too bad for them. I will never go back to the this fabricland again.I think they should have bent the rules for a child. And of course out of upsetness I forgot the one thing that I came to get which was super important. Can't believe it.Genessa Jackson.

Won't shop here again. Poor service and poor fabric knowledge. Couldn't point me to other local retailers or suggest another team member with more knowledge. The service member simply said, I have no idea about this stuff

I recently moved to Kamloops, BC and visited the location today. I've been shopping at Fabricland for over 35 years and this was the most organized location I've ever been in. I also received exceptional service from the assistant manager Marleen.

I went to the Kamloops store for the first time today and found the staff to be friendly and helpful - particularly a trainee named Jenn who went above and beyond for me. She was very patient while I made up my mind which fabrics to choose!I will definitely be back.
