Taking the 4-month diploma program was one of the best decisions I ever made. Coming out of it, I felt confident and well equipped to pursue acting as the program goes over all aspects such as scene study, method acting, script analysis, as well as the business side of acting. Instructor Andrej Acin does his very best to bring the most out of each individual and helps students realize their own hidden potential. Going in with no prior experience, learning from him helped me explore my creativity and emotional depth as a performing artist. Being open-minded and dropping your ego is KEY, and doing so allowed me to have strongly positive experience learning at TAAFT.

I attended the Winter cohort of 2022 (I think that's what it was), and I learned SO MUCH. There were a number of instructors who we learned from, our main instructor being Andrej. He's a phenomenal educator and director, and although his teaching methods may be different from what you received in high school, I really think it's necessary because, as actors, we need to wear our hearts on our sleeves, and be open and vulnerable, and Andrej helps us achieve just that through his generous yet to-the-point teaching style. It's by no means a perfect course (if there's such a thing), but I still give it 5 stars for what I gained from it. Thank you for reading.

Thanks to this school I got the chance to meet some people I am glad to call great friends to this day! I liked most of the teachers, and in particular Andrej. Not only cause he was the main one, but cause he helped me understand better my real potential and talent. Through his teachings he helped me work through them, so to bring them up and shape them. He has always been available to help me and support me with anything I was thinking on working on, and for that I really appreciate and thank him!

I took part in the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television’s diploma program. The academy is a great school for the actor. Every teacher is skilled in their field. Andrej, who lead the film acting modules of the program, is a knowledgeable and very qualified educator. He knew how to make progress out of us. Dave focused us to our voice choices which seasoned out our work through the talent he has in his practice. Vlad mentored us on how to work ourselves into the industry with his connections and wisdom. Christina, with her rare caring genuine soul, helped us break down scripts through the most efficient principles I’ve seen yet. To whoever is thinking of doing the program, you should be set to get good things out of the course if you go in with good intent and dedication. I’m very grateful for the base this program gave me. This program is programmed to round out the actor. I believe it did just that.

My classes at the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television ( TAAFT ) were a great introduction to the industry. I had two very experienced instructors, Christina Collins and Vladimir Bondarenko, who both provided their own unique teaching approach. There was a good mix of monologue work, scene instruction and TV commercial training. And through TAAFT I was able to secure my first TV commercial as a principal actor!

The teachers at the Toronto Academy made the four month diploma program worth it. They gave me the tools and skills I needed to develop as a person and an actor in order to work in this industry. Since graduating last year I have been grateful that I have been able to book a lot of short film work, as well as some commercial and feature work as well. I credit this success to the transformation and support I received at TAAFT from the instructors.I find with TAAFT, as with any school, the level of education you receive is impacted by how much you put into it. Since acting is a lot of work internally to get into the right physical and mental headspace(s), you have to be willing to put in the practice and show up everyday with an open mind to learning.

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the acting diploma program. I recently completed the 4-month program, and I can confidently say that it was a great experience.I appreciated the emphasis on practical training, which allowed me to apply the skills I learned. I also valued the theoretical components of the program, which provided a deeper understanding of the art and craft of acting. The program challenged me to step out of my comfort zone, take risks, and push myself to new heights. I feel more confident in my abilities as an actor, and I have a clearer sense of my strengths and areas for improvement.Overall, I am grateful for the opportunity to have participated in this diploma program. I believe it has prepared me well for a career in the industry, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to other aspiring actors.

I was enrolled in the 4 month Diploma program at this school in 2022, and let me tell you...what an experience. It is quite intense as it is full-time hours, but it is worth it! Considering it is only 4 months, it seems a short amount of time to learn, but so much content is taught. I had the pleasure of being taught mostly by Andrej Acin, with the exception of a few weeks with other teachers for different subjects. Given that we were a small class (10 students), Andrej took time with each student, drawing out everyone's best performances. While I cannot speak for the other students, personally, I felt encouraged by Andrej, especially when filming monologues. There were times where I would struggle to connect with the content of the scene, but Andrej would take time to ask questions and get me to reflect and unleash the correct emotions needed, resulting in amazing scenes. As well, these scenes were then used for a great demo reel (also made by Andrej at the end of the semester), one that actually got me an agent :) Christina Collins and Dave Hubband were also amazing teachers, and although my time with them was short (1 week each), they were very amazing and I learned so much. Overall, I only have great things to say about this Academy and I look back and think of my time here fondly.

I had no idea what to expect when I first arrived at the studio but I felt right at home immediately. I did the part time course and when it was done, I did it again! I followed that with another session. In short I would recommend the Academy to anyone and have stayed in touch with many people I met from the school. Parking is easy, cheap and close by which is rare in Toronto these days. The studio space is large and clean and welcoming. For anyone thinking of taking the plunge and trying something fun and exciting, definitely check out the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television!

My son attends the Munchkin acting classes and it has been an amazing experience. He has learned so much and has been able to apply what he learns in class when he’s on set. The instructors are knowledgeable and caring, creating a supportive environment for young actors.
