La Pampa Empanadas Gourmet

Wish I came here more often. Good choices of empanadas and they’re all delicious!

Too salty overall and not made fresh. Chimichurri was oily. I should have checked reviews here before trying the empanadas. They asked me if I wanted it heated up. Basically, they are all frozen, made ahead of time and then defrosted before being served to customers. But they are very cold from being defrosted in the center. Who knows when they were really made. I would compare these to pizza pops but at 3x the price. Do not recommend.

They have the best gourmet empanadas in Winnipeg! Make sure to buy by the dozens! Worth it!

Been meaning to write this up for a while now. First visited on July 16 to grab a quick lunch to eat at home. They are take out only so it's a pretty safe place during COVID, they were careful about masking and customer counts, but I haven't been back since the regulations changed.Anyway, the food is really good, they are expanding their dessert menu, have an extensive selections of vegetarian options and a nice assortment of simple sides. Even more fun, they have bulk deals and the empanadas freeze very well. They are nicer reheated in the oven but are still pretty good nuked too. The green sauce they serve is kind of bland to my taste, but every empanada I tried was delicious. My wife and I will heat up 2 different flavours and then each a half to try them out. 1 is a pretty good meal, especially if you have a side. Some of the flavours are a bit spicy, but I did not encounter anything so hot that it was unpleasant, but I'm not very adventurous when it comes to hot & spicy.Anyway, it is a staple in my take out list now, I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried there. The only problem is that parking on Grant is traffic controlled and I would not even attempt it during rush hour, but it's a short walk from the side streets on either side

$20 for four empanadas, not bad considering how delicious they were, we had the beef, four cheese, macaroni and corn. corn was definitely my favourite. friendly staff and clean environment.To be noted they are cold so you’ll need to reheat them yourself.

This place is an absolute gem! Everything (with a tiny few exceptions) is scratch made by the owner and the variety is simply mind-boggling. Aside from the wide assortment of empanadas (24 different fillings - each as delicious as the next) there's fresh pasta, desserts, hummus and falafel. Pricing is very reasonable and better when you buy by the dozen. I bought an assortment and the kids loved them! Perfect for lunches or after school snacks. Keep them in the freezer for an anytime fast food"...much more tasty and healthier than Pizza Pops! Don't even get me started on the sweets.....so good."

The alfajor are mouthwatering, and delicious. The empanadas are flavourful, and filling. The folks that work there are always friendly, and helpful. A true neighbourhood gem. Love it.

I had a fantastic experience at this La Pampa The empanadas were delicious and authentic, with a great variety of fillings to choose from.The dough was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They also offer their own homemade pasta and alfajores. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend La Pampa for anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying meal when hosting your friend or to enjoy with your family!

It was interesting. I ordered the beef empanadas, la pampa, and Mexican. La pampa was my least favorite. There were too many grizzly bits and inedible parts. A friend noted all of the empanadas tasted similar because all the seasoning. The beef was the freshest. Overall will be back and my kids loved the regular beef. Also the beef is made fresh daily and the wrapper was fine.
