REGENT WEST MEDICAL CENTRE AND WALK-IN CLINIC

I went today to see the doctor for.the first time. Even though it is a walk in, there are also patients with appointments booked. Still much quicker than sitting in urgent care for 6+ hours. Dr. Shaker is very personable and has a great bedside manner. I would definitely go back to see her. Receptionist is very friendly as are the pharmacists!!!

The staff at the front wanted me to explain my medical issues in front of a room of people when i only feel comfortable discussing it with an an actual medical professional (e.g. a doctor). No other clinic has done this. I'll be complaining to the board.

Avoid unless it’s your only optionI accompanied my father to this clinic twice. Both times we hade very negative experiences.The first time we hade waited over 3 hours to get a 5 min appointment over with and I hade cost 3 times the price of the same test he hade gotten at the clinic in Steinbach.The second time (when my father came to get the results of the test) he hade been sent to a room in about fiminutes, but we then proceeded to wait an additional 1:45 minutes to get the results of the test.Meanwhile the people who were waiting since before we hade arrived where not given service and people who hade arrived after us and didn’t have appointments where given the doctors attention before my father, even a person who hade an appointment waited 30 minutes before receiving the doctor’s attention.The male receptionist was incredibly rude and unprofessional. While I was waiting he hade made a man explain his symptoms in front of a room of waiting people (this is very unprofessional and unethical). The receptionist even told the man to go to a different clinic without explaining why.There was not a nurse present both times we hade gone which greatly hindered efficiency.Dr.Shaker was very kind and was clearly trying her best to keep the place running smoothly.the man working reception was rude, unprofessional, unethical and he seems to be the root of the speed issues we hade experienced as he was telling doctor shaker which rooms to go to.Worst experience I’ve ever hade at a clinic.

Hands down the best walk in clinic experience I have had! The receptionist was super nice and greeting considering how busy and full it was. Too full to sit anywhere so she took my number and said I could go wait in my vehicle, and will call when they're ready for me. Minimum an hour wait she said. I'm thinking great

First time visiting this walk in and I found it very clean and nice inside. Dr.shaker I believe is her name, was very nice and seemed to care a little more than most walk in doctors do. A lot of people complain about wait times, I don't think I have ever been to a walk in clinic anywhere in the city where there wasn't an extremely long wait time so I don't really understand why people are surprised when they have to wait.

Dr. Shaker is a kind person and very nice. The front end staff on the other hand are really disorganized. On many occasions I have come in as a walk-in and have had to wait to see her for many hours. Even when the front end staff have called and told me to come in and I’ll only have to wait 30mins to see her. I have left because the wait time is incredibly long.I would not recommend this place if you are walking in as you will spend your whole day waiting.

The front desk ladies are just unbelievable multitaskers. I was so impressed with how much they had to do from taking medical samples to back, answering phones ans prepping exam rooms, they were so efficient and never missed a beat.As is with all walk-in clinics, I had to wait about 3 hours but they were really realistic up front about the wait time and offered a courtesy call when they were ready for me.Dr. Gendy was really polite and professional. He listened to my symptoms and did a quick exam and was able to confirm a diagnosis in a matter of 60 seconds.I am only visiting from Alberta, but if I was in the market for a doctor, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Gendy. He seems like he listens ans genuinely cares about his work.Thank you so much to Regent West for getting me in today! I am forever grateful!

These are beautiful people. I was floored to hear excellent family worship and other similar music playing boldly in the waiting room. Dr Shaker is now our family Dr. ...God Bless your family.

Using a pseudonym so as to not impact future visits. I am a regular patient here and the persistent issues I have with administration lead me to deliberately avoiding making appointments unless absolutely necessary.Booking an appointment is borderline meaningless as no matter what time you book, you will be stuck waiting for 60 - 90 minutes, maybe more, even if you arrive on time. Front desk has told me on multiple occasions that they will call me back regarding booking or appointments or letting me know when an exam room frees up, that never happens. I've never experienced the rude or derogatory behaviour that some reviewers are describing, but I did feel like I was being treated dismissively by them.Dr. Shaker is excellent, but the infrastructure surrounding her is a complete mess.

The staffs who are working there are rude and not friendly. They been lying to me multiple times on how long the wait time is. I had to experience this 3 times and make me want to leave them 1 star ⭐️ review. They would say 45 minutes but I would have wait over 2 hours each time. And I was there since 9am. But if you go there around 11am they would tell you 1hr wait time and I end up waiting to 3.5 hours. Clean place but I hate the fact that they are not truthful, it’s very unprofessional. They are not a great place to go too, and some of the doctor actually accuse me of lying of my symptoms. I don’t recommended this place at all.
