Beach is beautiful and the stars looked crazy. Had a good time at my fire and everyone around seemed friendly.. However, I had to use the bathroom in the pitch black stall and the toilets aren’t secure into the ground, no toilet paper and no paper towel. The toilet literally fell forward on me. Also, showers are disgusting. But then again, it’s camping. I could be shower-less in the woods. Overall, good campground :)

The camp ground is beautiful and the staff is so pleasant to deal with. Robert was amazing he helped get our hot water heater back uo and running! We couldn't be more thankful!

The camp sites are pretty tight together and not overly private. As far as location is concerned, it really can't be beat. However, the bathrooms are not well insulated so they're very cold, very dated and somewhat unkempt. The paint is peeling and chipping on the doors and the hot water takes a very long time to heat up. If you are going for the location? 5 stars. If you're going for privacy? 4 stars. If you're going for the bathroom? 3 stars - at best.

This is not a great campground for Tenters! It might be okay for people in an RV! The staff were super friendly and the beach is beautiful. However, the showers/bathroom building needs to be torn down and rebuilt. It was pretty gross! People walked through our camp site to walk to the bathroom (literally between our tent and chairs where we were sitting). There was trash at our campsite when we arrived as well. It’s also more pricey then other campgrounds that were nicer.

One of the first things they told us was to make sure we caught the sunset, I'm so glad we did as it was breathtakingly beautiful. Quiet spot, very well maintained, mostly treed/grass spots. Will definitely visit again when in the area, highly recommend

Very cute campground! Prices are fair and the sites are nice. The only downside was the lack of privacy as it was quite busy, our ‘neighbours’ to one side were quite nosy and made us uncomfortable at times.

Wonderful ocean view, amazing beach. Nice staff. Campsites are big and open for ocean view sites. We had a great view of the ocean. Small little lounge on the back of the office building. Beautiful little fountain at the front of the office. Great place. We’ll be back.

This little camping site is well located on an island that faces the ocean on on side, and the gorge of the small city of Sheticamp; both are stunning. The camp site has two zones; one with a wider open field view, and the other for tents and RVs. The tent/RV sites are a little too close to each other for my taste, but are nice and the showers/toilets are clean. Irrelevant of this, the camp site is very close to the Briton Highlands national park which us great and offers so nice views and walkable trails. Amazing side of the country.

It was always one of our favorite places in Cape Breton but the last two times were not satisfactory. Two years ago we had a spot near the men's washroom and people walked through our site all day and night. This time we had a spot that was tight with a deck that someone had left when they moved out. That wasn't the problem though. The septic covers on our site and the next site to us were not very good so we had to put up with septic smell for four days. There should be screw type covers installed. Also, the road was riddled with deep potholes and when I asked if they were going to fix them I was told they were operating half staffed and the roads were something they couldn't look at this year. To think of how many trailers and RVs traveled over those roads each day, that you wouldn't have to try to avoid potholes. However the staff were friendly and for the most part accommodating.

We unfortunately did not have a place to stay when we arrived in Cheticamp on Aug 16. Someone suggested we try Plage St. Pierre campground. What a fantastic place. We rented a camper overlooking the beach and water. It was amazing. We enjoyed it so much, we booked a second night. The people operating the campground were extremely nice and helpful. If we go back to Cabot Trail again we will be staying there for sure. I would recommend this accommodation.Mike
