Matt was a great guide. Down to earth, friendly, welcoming, patient and understanding. You do not feel intimidated with him and his communicative approach. He provides a ton of tips and advice and he will focus on you for the entire trip (he does not fish). Incredibly knowledable; helps you read the river, improve on your casting, set-ups and whatnot. A true expert with tons of experience. Highly recommendable.

Yet another great day on the water was had with Matt yesterday. We fished for sea run bull trout on the Upper Pitt River and despite very difficult water conditions Matt still managed to get us into amazing action! Matt's been fishing the Lower Mainland river systems for decades and it was very apparent. His knowledge, experience and professionalism culminated in an amazing, unforgettable experience. Sturgeon, trout or salmon, Matt's the guy! He'll get you into fish! We'll definitely be going out again!

We didn't actually get to go through with our fishing adventure as our whole trip was cancelled due to Covid and fires. But, I am still giving Matt 5 stars for his prompt replies, general excitement about having us and timely refund of our deposit.We hope to rebook with Bentley's next summer.

Matt is an awesome fishing guide, but an even better teacher. Go out for float with this guy and you'll leave with the knowledge of how to catch more fish by yourself down the line. Highly, highly recommended.

Had a excellent time with Matt Bentley on the Chilliwack River. Matt is very knowledgeable with a great personality. He has a passion for fishing, the outdoors & sharing his angling knowledge. I would most certainly hire him again & recommend him to the novice & intermediate anglers looking to brush up on their skills.

Today my 9 year old son and myself were treated to an amazing fishing experience we will never forget. 100% booking with this outfit again! The guide/captain Matt is very knowledgeable in what seemed like his back yard. He assured us we would catch something. Well that something was 3 sturgeons. The smallest being 60lbs, and a whopper with a length of 97 inches and roughly 300-350lbs. What a great day we had. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys being on the water and reeling in monsters!! Thanks Bentleys fishing adventures!!

Bentley's Fishing Adventures
Matt is an experienced, confident fishing guide/instructor. I had an amazing rafting trip down the Vedder and learned how to use a double handed Spey rod, how to read water, and Matt shared information on the numerous rivers in the lower mainland and around the province that I can definitely fish. I’m looking forward to many more fishing trips with Matt.Bentley’s Fishing Adventures is first class!!
