My husband seen Dr Akbar and it was a horrible experience!! Walking in to the clinic we were waiting at the desk for about 5 minutes while the receptionist was on her phone scrolling through Facebook. Was sent for multiple tests to rule out Lofgrens - results ended up coming back for A POSSIBLE lympoma diagnosis. Dr Akbar unethically made the concious decision to call my husband and DIAGNOSE him over the phone by saying the C word. Stating she would follow up with a specialist and scans we were called the following week for an ULTRASOUND OF THE KNEE?!!!?? Glad to know Dr Akbars office takes Cancer that seriously that they would so carelessly mess up something as easy as a Requistion for a CT Scan. Upon calling to ask about this mysterious Ultrasound she snapped and said I don't understand why you are so confused ". Well MRS EDUCATED - we were told we were going for a ct scan of the chest for Cancer but obviously an ultrasound of the knee makes sense to you..... The lack of Compassion and the downright UNETHICAL moves made by this clinic is exactly why you need to stay far away from this office. There has been no urgency to get my husband to be seen right away and we are awaiting in limbo with a possible Cancer Diagnosis.... The fact that we still do not have any updates and it has been over 2 weeks and are still waiting Months for a scan is absolutely unacceptable!!! I work for the Cancer Hospital and the fact is she could very well be prolonging my husbands diagnosis because her secretary leaves early and doesn't bother to check faxes or notify anyone of anything. Unless you want extreme anxiety stay away from here"

I've been with Dr. Akbar for close to 10 years now. I don't understand the negative feedback she's been given, but she is as professional as you can get and I think she has a great sense of humor. She has helped me considerably! I feel she does care a lot. She just insists that we follow her directions or it's a waste of everyone's time.

Dr Akbar has changed my life for the better. She is very caring and has a wonderful manner. I am so blessed to be in her care. I have full confidence in her ability to treat my RA.

Amazing doctor

I am writing this after wasting whole year with this clinic and waiting patiently, may be one day they will mend their ways but here I go, This is probably the worst clinic in town or at least I have not experienced this low level of service. From reception to the doctor the whole experience was horrible. Doctor is impatient and on ego trip. Decline multiple request for in person appointments and always push for on call assessments. My wife is going Thru hell lot of pain. She wakes up and cries in middle of the night out of pain and we can’t even book an appointment to see the doctor. This is for the doctor—- you are blessed to be able to help people but your ego and arrogance will come back at you one day. Avoid this place at all costs.

This entire experience dealing with this office has been awful and I haven't even been able to see the doctor yet. My appointment was booked in April for November 2022. I called to confirm - no answer, I then confirmed online, and then called back a few days later to double check. No answer or any updates from their office, so I call another Dr's office receptionist only to find out that Dr. Akbar was taking a month long vacation and my appointment was rescheduled for January 12th, 2023. ZERO update to myself, no email, no voicemail - nothing. Fine. I call last week to confirm my appointment as per their request and leave a voicemail. I then confirm again online to assure that it's confirmed. Nothing. They leave me a voicemail confirming my appointment on Monday - NOT ONCE did anyone mention that this Dr has changed locations from their original location.This whole experience was awful. Please try to get referred elsewhere if you can.

She's a great Doctor I have been seeing her for about 5 years and she has helped me so much.

Horrible service. My elderly grandparent was waiting 20 min longer in the waiting room for her appointment. Then they did a fluid aspiration and she was given her STAT sample with a req, what was she supposed to do with this, why didn't they take this sample and send it to the lab? I had to after drive that sample to the Dyna life lab and I only knew to do that with previous lab experience. Then they gave her a xray req with no exams requested so we have to call around to get it fixed. This is such a mess up that shouldn't happen.

I have been a patient of Dr. Akbar for almost 2 years. She has helped improve my life a 100%.I am so very thankful and grateful for all she has done for me.
