What happened, all of a sudden things that used to be super cheap are at prices like someone selling online. They do realize we know it's all donated right? So yes they are making lots of money,no doubt. But they still have a few good things that are cheap and the people there are great, and I still love walking around and looking for that diamond in the rough. I can't help but love the place just prices are going way up

I love shopping here. I find the prices to be marked up too much. Due to the fact that they get their inventory for free. Why does a used shirt need to be $10? I can buy a new one at the mall for cheaper. Plus it doesn't smell weird or have stains. Hard to find a good deal here these days.

It’s a good location, the staff is lovely and helpful. Found some good stuff, but boy - the pricing is pretty wild. $15-$20 for items of kid clothes. $15 men’s tshirts. Feels a bit icky that this is a thrift store with mostly donated stock.Would love to see a bit more respect for the community reflected in their prices.

$7.99 for a beat to hell Bee Gees record?.give your collective heads a shake. You have absolutely no idea how to price that stuff. The prices of books and media are ridiculous bordering on gouging. You're a used store that makes a profit off donations. Smarten up and price things accordingly.

Shopping was ok. Checking out was not so ok. I was spending $150 so I decided to sign up for their points program. But the self checkout machine glitched and froze after i started the process of signing up. So the customer service person helped" me. She kept going to the payment section and I kept telling her no

This store is overpriced with staff that are apathetic at best. They have only self check outs with no one to help the senior behind me who didn't know how to use the scanner.

I dislike their business model because I feel they charge too much for donated goods. I wouldn't have such a problem with their inflated prices if more of the profits were being shared with the employees in the form of better wages and benefits but that isn't happening and it isn't going to. Quite possibly the most expensive thrift store in any town or city where there is one and a retailer I avoid supporting. Especially since there are plenty of other options in Nanaimo. Help support your community by supporting our local businesses!

Not that much good stuff overall. A couple cute jewelery items, but no good clothes, really; and they tried charging 20$ each for monster high & ever after high dolls that were in terrible condition which was outrageous. Just got a monster high doll in the same condition with an item for 2$ elsewhere, so not worth it to look there.

DO NOT DONATE YOUR ITEMS HERE.DONATE TO OTHER CHARITIES OR SALVATION ARMY.Value village is FOR PROFIT. Step into their store. You see broken, used, END OF LIFE items for $$$$!!It is CHEAPER in most situations to purchase brand new items online. Scour clearance online of stores. Don't shop at value village. It's a waste of your money. They have an Indian security guard here with a bullet proof vest loitering around being useless as they all are nowadays. Pathetic store. Don't bother coming. It is common to see people trying to just take things - but it makes sense. More power to them, to be honest. Who can afford to pay $80 for a used, nearly end-of-life men's jacket?Value village is out of their mind. Nobody can afford these prices. And vulnerable, in-need people most certainly cannot afford anything here. Don't donate to them.
