Nice place for a brunch! I got the Pork Belly hash bowl and it didn’t disappoint. The ratio of the potatoes was way more then the rest of the ingredients which I kinda expected, so I just added a lot of hot sauce to have some kick and flavour in it. Staff were nice and attentive to our needs. Parking was kinda hard in a busy rush hour brunch so plan ahead.

I wanted to like this place so bad since it’s right across from where I live. I’ve been here the first week they opened, but wasn’t that impressed. I thought it must be because they’re still new, and so I gave it another try this weekend but was still disappointed. I kept thinking I was missing something because there were raving reviews about this place, but every single time I visited I always felt underwhelmed.The first thing I noticed was that the floors were disgusting. I don’t normally pay attention to these things, but the floors were very dirty and the table I sat at was a little sticky that I couldn’t help but mention it. Small things like clean floors and tables go a long way and it didn’t look like the floors, especially under the tables, were swept for a few days.It was Sunday brunch time, and the place was rather quite full, but I can tell they were understaffed. There were only two servers, and they were both very nice and friendly, but they definitely were too busy to refill our waters nor were they easy to call for some extra napkins.The brunches we ordered were both $18 each, and although they were both tasty, i was just expecting more from an almost $20 dish. They were good, but not great.I also added a medium poached egg on my pork belly, brie, and waffles order, but the egg came hard.Overall, I think I’ve given this place many chances to prove itself, but I just don’t think there’s the quantity and quality I was looking for for the price they charge. Sadly, I don’t think I’d recommend this place to any of my friends and family.

We were visiting from Edmonton, looking for a good breakfast, and this place is great! No line, nice atmosphere, wonderful server and service. The food came out fast and hot, and the prices are very reasonable. We would definitely come back and recommend.

We had visited here for lunch on a whim last yr and really loved the overall experience. So when we ended up nearby on a morning walk this weekend, we decided to try out their breakfast. We were not disappointed! A nice menu selection for both Breakfast and Lunch. The service was incredibly good, with kind and attentive staff. And the food was incredible, with obvious fresh ingredients and fantastic preparation. The potatoes were to die for! Good lattes as well! Indoor and outdoor seating. It was surprising there weren't more customers, with most breakfast spots in Calgary having 45 min waits on a weekend. For two plates, plus an extra side of bacon, a latte and a cocktail it was $65 before tip. Please check this spot out if you're in the East Village and support this awesome restaurant!

Two of everything bad with a side of rawEnded up ordering the two of everything on the menu. What was served was a messy plate covered with 2 toasts cut in two, stacked on top of each other, ready to fall like dominoes. Underneath the slapped toasts, we’re two halves of a soggy, sweaty beat up, tomatoes (clearly not grilled), loads of “cold to the touch” and the “cold to the tongue” hash browns, overcooked bacon strips covered with condescended pan oil bubbles, next to which was the ham, sliced poorly and slapped directly on the bacon, it gave its “right out of freezer” juices to the overcooked bacon.But eggs were the worst to look at, I ordered sunny side up with runny yolks, what was served of that request was a couple of eggs with runny wobbly whites and raw yolk.Bad place with good music and a beautiful tree and nice chairs and table and the lighting is pretty good. They also have dog treats when you enter, so yeah that’s nice. Too bad it’s a restaurant so they need to know how to cook or at least see what they are serving before they do.

Great decor and ambience. I ordered the beef dip for lunch, and the au jus was spot on! Fries were a little more salted than I prefer. They have a great selection of beverages.

Fantastic restaurant! I work nearby and stop in occasionally for lunch, I am never disappointed. The food is incredible, the drinks are fantastic, the prices are fair, and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. It has a great cozy atmosphere as well, a perfect place to sit and relax with a meal. If you haven’t eaten here before, you should!
