We cannot say enough great things about Thompson! We have frequented Wooden Boat over the last year and have always been blown away by the quality of his food, as well as the passion he puts into all of his food and work. So when we needed a caterer for our small backyard wedding, we knew we had to speak with Thompson. Through the whole process (during COVID especially) he was so helpful, fun and caring to work with. Obviously, he blew us away again on our wedding day with the appetizers and meal he served us and our guests. He was so passionate about delivering us the best food, and was such an awesome individual to have involved in our day. Our guests were all raving about his food! If you are looking for a local caterer that will go above and beyond for you, Thompson is your guy! Thanks Thompson, you are truly so talented at what you do!

Honestly, my favourite in place in Kitchener. Chef makes such beautiful food. Quality ingredients and amazing flavours. You can almost taste the TLC he puts into it! I've ordered the Marguerita pizza, Pho burgers and fries chicken. All of it was amazing. I would share more pictures but I it all disappeared before I could. Portion has been eaten a bit

I can’t tell you how gooood all the food is here! We keep coming back for more, and are never disappointed. There are always new things to try. Its the delicious food, great service, sustainable packaging, local food, sharing your passion for food, supporting other small businesses, building community…. I always look forward to when the menu for the week is released!

The food there is fresh and delicious, really like the fried wonton and chicken breast, also the ice cream there will be a wonderful desert especially after the meal! Not easy to find the restaurant, but full of people! Would definitely come again for the wonderful food

Best wood fire pizza in town! Always amazed by the favour combinations! Authentic dishes every Friday and Saturday that never disappoint! The charred jalapeño sauce is my favourite! Chef Thompson is so kind and welcoming! You cannot go wrong ordering from wooden boat!

WOW what a lunch. This is an unconventional approach to restaurant serving fresh fusions Vietnamese food in a Wearhouse settings. Every bite of the foods are bursting with flavours. The fried chicken were chrispy with a bit of chili heat. Banh Mi.. nicely done and fried noodles with the smoky pork taste amazing with the Vietnamese herbs. The cabbage salad best I have ever tasted. Simple with fresh herbs. Thompson Tran the owner was very helpful in choosing our lunch dishes. He is very passionate of what he serves to his customers. Also his family too with his kids pictures painted on the Wall. All in all we need more of this types restaurant owner who is passionate about serving amazing tasty food, local ingredients, reasonable prices and happy customers. Before leaving don't forget to pickup some sauces ( Philippens BBQ sauce) on the counter. Good work Thompson and crew. We'll be back!!!!

Delicious Bahn Mi! The spring rolls were also fresh and tasty! I could eat a million of the mini doughnuts. Both the cinnamon sugar and powdered sugar doughnuts are awesome!

You gotta try the Wooden Boat Food Company! Gotta brag on this local gem (which I learned about from Dinners by Derek's recommendation). This place is a serious delight for the tastebuds! Such fresh, vibrant food. First visit we had the banh mi (1 chicken and 1 pork) and the freshest slaw in town! The banh mi is huge and fresh and full of flavour. The best I've had. Yum! This second visit I had the hot honey fried chicken with rice and slaw. Oh. My. Goodness. Simply delicious. Comfort food to the max. The rice is perfect. The sauce, fresh and tasty. The fried chicken, divine. The slaw, so fresh and vibrant. I want to try everything on the menu. Mouthwatering yumminess. This is a ghost kitchen" so it's mostly a takeout

Amazing food, for a great price! Great service (super friendly and helpful) and delicious food. The place is very conscious of the products it uses, and making choices to reduce waste. Let's hope other restaurants follow their example! While you wait you can walk around the corner and have beer at a tap room.
