I love working with Chelsea! I have had the pleasure of teaming up with her on multiple weddings and always have the best experience. She is a warm and bright vendor that you definitely want to have on your wedding day.Her photo quality is A++.

I met Chelsea through social media where I in a whim, entered her contest for an engagement shoot and a cottage stay. Boy was I shocked when I won! Not only have I NEVER won anything but, both my fiance and I have never had professional photos done before. We didn't expect to get as personal of an experience during a pandemic that Chelsea gave us.She met with us for Zoom drinks and got to know each of us. Since we had no idea what we were doing, we left ourselves entirely in Chelsea's hands. The first amazing thing she did was suggest the perfect location! Next, she sent me an outfit guide that really helped to get me excited.When we met Chelsea in person for our photos, it was as if we'd known her for years. I had to struggle not to invite her over for dinner and drinks after! We had the most amazing time. My fiance is a bit stiff, and doesn't love photos to say to say to least, but even he let loose and had a great time.When we received our photos I fully cried. I cannot believe she was able to capture us so perfectly. I really struggled not to develop every photo she sent us. She also sent us an additional slideshow, that we plan to us for our wedding. The edits she did to the photos not only hid the fact that our session was on one of the hottest days of the summer, (no face sweat visible at all) but they also look so natural.I cannot say enough good things about Chelsea and her work. We plan on using her for any family photos in the future. The session and the cottage vacation she gave us will be a fond memory that we both look back on and talk about often.

We found Chelsea through MANY (and I mean many) referrals. I posted a quick Instagram question looking for photographers for our engagement shoot and next thing I knew, it was Chelsea Gurr this and Chelsea Gurr that! I contacted her and it was as if we had always been friends. She is SO personable, caught our vibe immediately, and is game for literally anything! We originally booked her for our engagement pictures but since then we rebooked her for our wedding. She more than delivered on both fronts! When little ones are added to our fam-jam she will undoubtedly be there to capture those moments too!When I say, we felt that we were immediately friends with Chelsea is putting it lightly. Let me explain… We were looking for someone who understood our vision and our more rugged and raw aesthetic. She immediately ‘got it’. We told her we weren’t the traditional posed, or manicured couple. We met hiking, we love adventures, spending time outside and getting dirty. She was and is still game for ANYTHING. At our engagement shoot, she was stoked to step through knee-deep snow, muddy areas, fallen tree spots and navigate our ash covered campfire pit. We are building our forever home on a piece of land and when she came, it was really just snowy, muddy, and mid-clearing forested land. She rocked it and found super creative ways to highlight and bring meaning to little gems like clusters of trees, staked logs, and muddy campfire pits. At our wedding, we returned to our same property nine months later. Two big changes: the lot looked a lot nicer and she was pregnant. What didn’t change? Her. She wanted so badly to feature the beauty of our property. We told her that the view of our back field was something we wanted to shoot. I feel like most photographers would be like “Great! Stand here on the nice grass. I’ll position you ‘just-so’ to avoid seeing the ditch. And snap that picture.” Not Chelsea. She was like “Oh! YES! I love that field. Let’s climb down and over the ditch and take newlywed portraits IN the field! I’ll just photoshop your muddy feet right outta there!” (A reminder that she was pregnant). THAT attitude and commitment to her craft and her clients is why we chose and continue to choose her. She checks all of our boxes and then some!My favourite pictures are the ones I couldn’t have dreamed or our imagined. She doesn’t pose you or make you feel like awkward models. Instead she so famously says “I’m your third wheel… and I will just follow you around like a shadow” and that’s exactly what she does. She captures you in your truest, most comfortable form and best of all, captures little moments that are truly the BEST MOMENTS. One of my favourite pictures is one of my now husband having a laugh with his brother at our wedding. A very casual picture but one that we have framed. Some of our other favourites are how she captures parts of our future home before it was even built.Our overall experience with Chelsea has been meeting our expectations, blowing them out of the water, and bonus - gaining a friend! She was with us for our small wedding reception of 17 people. She sat next to my aunt and it was totally normal. Everyone met her and loved her right away. Chelsea seamlessly blended into our day. She made everyone feel at ease, including my husband who does not love getting his photo taken! The snapshots that she took, both candid and posed, have helped to relive our day since it went by too quickly. We gravitated towards her style because she focuses on capturing the moments, not just the poses, and we are so happy to have such a well curated album doing just that. Her communication game is also top notch - from first introductions via email, to meeting to discuss the day, and follow up communication, Chelsea was always on the ball offering sound advice and suggestions suited to our personalities and hopes for the day.

I came across Chelsea's profile while searching for the perfect photographer for our intimate wedding. I felt a spark (like butterflies) looking through her work and reached out almost immediately (had to run it by Nick 1st obvs)!Nick and I are pretty awkward, especially when it comes to having our pictures taken so we were definitely going to be in need of an expert to make us look our best. Not only did Chelsea deliver some of the coolest engagement pictures but she really captured our wedding exactly how we envisioned. She very much made us feel like she was just our friend following us around with her camera making us laugh until we cried. One of my favourite memories from our engagement shoot that I will treasure forever is Chelsea asking us to kiss with our teeth"... this ended up being one of my favourite pictures but let me tell how much we laughed at the original attempt to kiss with our teeth.I've noticed a lot of reviews mention how Chelsea felt instantly like family or a close friend and we couldn't agree more. The moment we met Chelsea and all throughout the process it felt like we'd known her for years. She is a true gem of a human with the type of personality that keeps you calm and comfortable no matter what is happening. I have so so so many nice things to say about Chelsea and also her skills as a photographer. Please know that you will be so overwhelmed with this beauty of a human and her amazing talent. She is a wealth of knowledge that will guide you through the entire process and make you feel so comfortable. We hired Chelsea for our Ottawa wedding. She came recommended to me by my friend and when I met Chelsea via video chat I could tell quickly she was someone who knew her job very well, was professional and perceptive to our needs. Chelsea did both our engagement and wedding photos and WOW she did not disappoint. My husband is very camera shy and quiet, however this was hardly a challenge for Chelsea as she was able to loosen him up and get him comfortable. For our wedding she was on time, took all the shots I wanted and made more I didn’t know I wanted. She handled the first look, family shots and group photos like a pro, no time was wasted and everyone was happy with how seamless it went. Chelsea also sent us preview shots the very next day so we had something to enjoy right away. The rest of the photos came not much later.I just cannot overstate how great Chelsea is at her job. A true professional with a talented eye for detail and aesthetic. As one of the few purchases you will make for your wedding that you will hold onto after the day, the photographs Chelsea takes will be worth every penny.

I have known Chelsea since our time in University and have had the honor to call her a friend for many years. When I was looking into booking a photographer to capture the intimate and incredibly important moment that was my maternity shoot, I couldn't think of anyone else that would be better suited to do it. And so, I booked my flight back to Canada (having moved to the US prior to COVID to be with my husband) and planned a whole trip around this shoot. That's how important having her capture my pregnancy was to me.She was thoughtful in her proactivity when it came to sharing when, where and what this shoot would look like. Even going as far as creating a pinterest board to help me plan my outfits and help us align on the mood for the shoot. During the shoot, I felt empowered, beautiful, and cared for. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable with anything she was shooting. The shoot felt more like us just hanging out as friends than it did as her capturing breathtakingly beautiful pictures of me and I baby while she did what she does best. Once the shoot was over, she delivered a sneak peak at a speed I was incredibly impressed with - this girl was ON TOP OF IT! And not too long afterwards, I received my full gallery.All and all, I couldn't recommend her more to capture your special occasion or moment. She was born to be a photographer. She is exactly who you're looking for. I will be forever flying back to Canada to have her capture all of the moments in my life that need to be commemorated. She's THAT good.

Chelsea is one of the most amazing photographers I have met. My husband and I decided to spontaneously elope and within a couple weeks our little vision came to life. Chelsea was able to meet us in the middle, made us feel so comfortable like we had known her forever and also signed our marriage license as our witness. Her work shows how much she cares, down to every little detail. Chelsea takes pride in her work as she is a true artist who has an eye for every detail. My partner and I left our session with Chelsea feeling like we just spent an hour catching up with a good friend. The photos that came from it were a huge bonus.From the first time Chelsea and I spoke, it didn't feel like we were just hiring her services but developing a relationship with a good friend. This relationship was key because once the special day for our field session arrived, it already felt like we knew Chelsea and could be ourselves around her easily. For two shy, introverted people, that says a lot!!The experience itself was incredible, but the photos that came from it were breath taking. The location Chelsea recommended with the outfits she helped us choose and her skills created the most stunning photos that we get constant compliments on. We hired Chelsea for our wedding as part of a package with our venue. Chelsea was so laidback, warm, and inviting.
