Want an unfustrating medical service? Don't look here. To begin with, wait times is more than 40 min. That's not bad enough, you get people cutting in line, and staff don't care. In fact, they encourage it. Want a Bruce from getting blood tested? You'll hit jackpot. You think, This shouldn't be in Canada

Since I moved to Coquitlam, I go this lab for my blood work. It's alway very busy but very efficient. They are very courteous and kind. I don't understand what the bad reviews are about. My experience is so opposite every time.

Checked in online & was told to check in with reception upon arrival. I attempted too but was told to wait outside in line with the people randomly showing up. This location does not care if you've checked in online so that feature really is pointless. Once i got to the front of the line & was able to check in with the receptionist & while I was waiting in the waiting room I watched a few patients enter & exit cubicle 1 but did not see any staff go into this cubicle to clean it. I was directed into cubicle 1 & noticed a sign saying they disinfect each cubicle before & after each patient. This is not true. I noticed the bottle of disinfectant & a roll of paper towel on the counter then noticed the trash bin was completely empty & had dust around it showing the bag had been there for quite some time...empty. I then noticed a blood spot on my arm rest meaning the chair had not been wiped down in quite awhile. The lab tech entered my cubicle, took my blood then left immediately. I waited around 1½-2 mins to see if anybody would go in to clean but observed the receptionist direct another patient into cubicle 1 without any attempt to disinfect the room as their sign states.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Worst lifelabs I have ever been to. The asian front desk lady with salt and pepper hair is so rude, arrogant and disrespectful (Marilou). This old guy who was ahead of me was asking her something and she goes line up line up I am busy when in fact she was just talking to her co workers and didnt even care to ask him if he needed help with something or had a question or even heard him out.Booked an appointment and still ended up waiting 50 minutes in the line where random people were just cutting through the line. The waiting area is 15 chairs and 25 people are lined up in a narrow hallway outside lifelabs.All the nurses and other front desk ladies were very professional, helpful and talked very politely to the people coming in. The rooms however aren't clean and sanitized. Very messy for a place that's asking you to keep your masks on for your safety and can't do the bare minimum themselves.

Used to be a good location in terms of managing client appointment time but my most recent visit was disappointing.I had to wait for almost an hour for my appointment, and they forgot people who have already been waiting in the stall and tried to put me there.It seems the management needs to be improved.

Good grief! Make an appointment!! Walked in and told about 40 min wait...ok...at 60 min I asked again when I'd get in. Was told I got bumped every time an appointment came in. What? That wasn't told to me. Ironically, I keep hearing them tell people 40 min, but the board say 62 min. My name finally went up on the board with a 20 min wait still. That was accurate. I arrived at 7:40 and walked out at 9:10. Nice people though! Always polite and kind. Just make an appointment!

Avoid this location till it’s improved. Book a appointment anywhere else. And I absolutely do not recommend doing a walk-in.This location is understaffed and undersized for the amount of people who come here. The nurses are great people but are beyond stressed.It has been like this the last few times I came here since summer 2022: The nurses are trying their best with horrible circumstances and rude patients.I would not recommend coming here at all. even when booking a time, the time is not guaranteed: There’s just so few staff for the amount of people.Often the line starts at the elevator or at the main door at ground level.Online requisitions are often “lost” in the system, so you should have a printed requisition to make it easier.There’s also a lot maskless people and kids in line… despite multiple signs clearly saying this building require masks regardless of BC public orders. (I would encourage anyone who is immune compromised to avoid this location)Online check-in is also NOT available here.If you try to check-in by walking ahead of the line, they won’t accept you and they ask you wait in the line for equity. There’s also no PA system to call patients who are waiting outside in the hall. For example: if your appointment was booked for 8:40am but there’s 40 people in-line ahead of you…you will still have to wait in-line, and your 8:40 becomes a 10am or 10:30am appointment.Bathrooms are NOT available if your waiting in line only after check-in, if you are seated.

My dad had come in to do his blood work done and had the absolute worst experience. He first came in and the nurse that was coming to take his blood work looked like she didn’t want to be there. My dads english is not very good and she was talking so quietly and so fast that he was constantly asking her to repeat herself. She then did the worst job trying to take his blood. He asked the nurse a question and she said “don’t talk to me ask the front desk”. as soon as he asked the front desk the same nurse came behind the front desk and answered his question. Why bother telling him to go to the front desk when you can answer the question? insanely rude and I would never recommend this place to anyone even an enemy. Terrible rude people in there.

The staff are helpful, kind and very busy! I booked an appointment and it was an easy process with no wait. Don’t be rude and argue about the wait times. Be kind. There’s also an option to save your spot at other locations so you don’t have to sit and wait as a walk-in.

Line moved fast, clean and nice staff. Didn't have signs to help walk-ins vs appointment folks. Otherwise easy location
