Umiya sushi

I was there for the first time this week, they are officially my new favourite sushi restaurant downtown! Kim was wonderful to talk with and the food was prepared beyond my expectations (and it was absolutely delicious). Pictured is my Philly roll, I took a picture halfway through because I was too excited to eat it lol. Thank you Umiya Sushi!

So much love for this place!!! The salmon poke bowl was sooooo good. Big chunks of salmon, and very reasonable price! Their torched salmon sushi is one of the best! 10/10 customer service. Will definitely recommend and go back for more.

Not bad but the Philly special rolls (10 piece) was not what I expected at all. It comes literally swimming in sweet mayo and there’s thinly sliced white onions covering the entire entree which it didn’t specify (I picked them off as shown in photo). And the crispy chicken balls were 11$ and it was a very disappointly small portion (ate them before we decided to write a review and take pics). And the California rolls have fish eggs in them which isn’t my favorite. Overall not bad but ya

My partner and I ordered from this extremely lovely family owned restaurant for Valentine’s Day. I called to place our order for takeout around 7pm and they made everything with such care and love. We ordered the vegetable gyoza, roll combo 6 with miso soup, extra yam roll, and spicy salmon roll. We both couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the sushi and everything else was. The quality and detail was outstanding! I can easily say this is our new favourite (and only place we will be ordering) sushi in London. Highly recommend!!!! First time trying this place. It was DELICIOUS! It's a bit far from our house but worth the drive. Their spicy sauce on their rolls is awesome.

Just picked up a takeout order from here. Sent it in on Uber Eats and it was ready by the time I walked there (8 min). I got salmon sashimi and edamame. My friend got roll combo #2 (dynamite roll and a California roll). He said his order was amazing. Mine was phenomenal as well. The salmon was very fresh and melted in my mouth like butter and was served on a bed of shredded daikon raddish. Also the portions were huge, including the salmon sashimi cuts - something I miss from living in the Canadian west coast and nothing like I'd seen in London before. Not to mention the 2 staff who were working were very friendly. Definitely worth checking this place out.

Really lovely spot. I got the torched salmon bowl, which came with miso soup. Everything was fresh and hot and tasty. The service was very friendly and attentive. After ordering they told me it would take seven minutes to make the food and I think it was even faster!

Umiya has some of the highest quality salmon sashimi I've been able to find in London. It's so fresh, has a delicious, buttery texture, and the portion is incredibly generous for the price. Likewise, the miso is savoury and light, and the rice is fluffy and seasoned perfectly.In addition to the quality of the food, the gentleman who was there when I visited (I'm not sure if he is the owner) was incredibly kind and personable. Between the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff, I would recommend giving this place a try if you haven't already.
