I would go here all the time. I’ve noticed how when ever I go the staff is rude to me and the prices aren’t good. Fancy consignment stores have better prices. For what the clothing is the price makes no sense. A cheap shirt from H&M costs more here then in store.

Many things are sorely overpriced. And I bought a wall clock that didn't work. I tried to return it, but they wouldn't accept the return. All sales final. However, they used to accept returns on electronics. In many ways, you don't save anything at all buying from here. It turns out that I could have had a brand new wall clock, same size, cheaper elsewhere.

Many reviewers, here and elsewhere, all state the same thing: the prices are way too high and the customer service is terrible. Where we did frequent this location for many years, and once donated a lot as well, we very rarely visit anymore. Last time we were there we bought nothing, but played a game: who could find the most obscenely overpriced item. It wasn’t hard, we found dozens of items, though the $20 sweater with a giant hole in the front may have been the best (though a $60 sweater that retailed at just $30 was a close second). Why head office allows this store to continue with surly customer service and obscene overpricing is a mystery, especially considering the legions of complaints, all saying the same thing.

Overpriced used stuff at rich people prices. Not a “thrift” store at all.

Nice, clean items, but the prices are insane. The kids section is very overpriced, $25 for a Carters toddlers vest from Walmart? It was probably $12 brand new!! Would better serve the community if thevkids items were reasonable at least...

I used to come to this Sal Army on a daily basis, for over a decade too now. I knew the manager by her name and vice versa. However their prices are becoming more and more unreasonable. You guys get these items for FREE. You are upselling FREE items for: bras/swim: $20-30, Jeans: $30-50, Jackets $50-150, Shirts: $20-40, Sweaters: $40-70.Everyone I know who shopped here has stopped coming for this reason too, you guys need to do something about it. I mean nearly $400 for Dior heels that you don't know are authentic or not? I looked at a Chanel boy bag there once that was clear as day fake and they were selling it for an insane price (over $1k). I’ve seen several other things that are very evidently fake.I might as well go to eBay and have authenticity promised or money back. Also if you’re charging that much, you think it would make sense to have a renovation. We just can't find a reason to come to this location anymore unfortunately.

I can't even get in! There is a sign that says please go to the back if you are in a wheelchair. When I go to the back, somebody says that they can try and help me get in, but they still say it is too narrow. I don't want to blame the person at the back, though, as she is probably only working as someone who accepts donations and not someone who is in charge of that store. However, it is very deceptive to tell wheelchair users that they can go in via the back door, but then when they get there they are told no, again, you can't get in. Pull yourself together! Imagine if this was you one day, and you are trying to access your own store.

I was highly disappointed with my visit to this Salvation Army. The items are very over priced compared to other Salvation Army thrift store locations in the Vancouver area and the racks are overflowing with inventory. If items were priced according to market value, they would sell much more easily. On top of that, one of the staff (maybe a female manager) at the cash desk was very rude. She didn’t process an exchange correctly and as soon as I politely asked her about the discrepancy she became defensive and acted like it was my fault that she had made a mistake. She was overly skeptical of me as a customer and scrutinized each price tag on the items I was purchasing. If you want to discourage return customers, this certainly was the way to do it. I agree with a previous reviewer that the staff at this location are costing it money.

I have been visiting this store for the last 8 years, it has always had a good selection of clothing at good prices, as any other thrift shops. But in the last year the prices have come up to the level above the high end Consignment stores like Turn About. Selling Zara used jacket for $75, you can get the same new on sale at Zara for $40. Heavily worn sheepskin coat for $400. Most likely a fake Céline bag for $350. Scratched RayBan glasses for $110 , and so on. QThe staff is incredibly rude. They run this store as a private shop for personal profit, not a charity store. I have witnessed some good clothing and other quality items being taken by the staff from the storage room through the back door and loaded into private vehicles, when I asked to have a look at the jacket with Armani logo - she told me it was not for sale. Seemed quite suspicious

Most overpriced thrift shop in all of Vancouver across the board, do not support them drop your donations to the others that help the community.. mens burton jacket they want $200, average name sweaters like ‘distillery’ sweaters they want $40 when retail is $50-$60, leather jackets upwards of $100-$150 depending on name.. anything of value they mark up even if condition is poor
