Amazing cakes & customer service!! :-)From the very first email I sent Nadine, to picking up the cake, she was wonderful to deal with. I had a few ideas for the cake and she helped me narrow them down to something that would fit in my budget. She also accommodated the specific flavours I had asked for.When we picked up the cake, my husband and I were blown away! It was so perfectly decorated and exactly what we had asked for...but even better! All of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. And it tasted as good as it looked!We would definitely recommend Nadine and her team at The Cake Shop and will be buying from them again. Love supporting local businesses like this who are obviously very passionate about what they do :-)

We got a chocolate birthday cake from here, it wasn't great. The buttercream didn't have much flavour and the cake itself was bland and dry.

Ordered a Stranger Things cake for my 30th birthday! It turned out amazing! It looked so nice and everyone loved it! Have already recommended this bakery to a few people.

Great price & customer service. The cake was phenomenal...from the way it looked to the way it tasted. They made it better than what we imagined. Would definitely recommend and will return again.

I'm not a big cake guy but my wife has bought several cakes from them the last few years and they are absolutely astounding. Moist consistent texture and nice and fluffy. The icings and fondants are never to sweet. Easily the best cake ive ever eaten.

This place, what can I even say about it to do it justice? I made sure to stop here when I was in Ottawa because I have allergies to peanuts and tree nuts and, as a result, it's hard to find baked goods that are safe for me. To make matters worse, usually the peanut/nut-free fare you find in stores is lackluster, and very obviously an afterthought. It's not good, to put it mildly.This place, however, suffers from none of those problems. Everything here that I've tried is amazing. I picked up some cupcakes, a bag of meringues, and some shortbread cookies. EVERYTHING was amazing. The meringues? Amazing. I ate so many in one sitting that I felt sick, because I just couldn't stop. The shortbread cookies were also spectacular. And I didn't get to the cupcakes until a couple of days after purchasing, and by that point they had been refrigerated for a few days, but they were still in really good shape, and I have to say, probably some of the best cupcakes I've ever tasted in the peanut/nut-free bakery sphere.Now to find out if they ship, or to find somebody to ship the products to me, because I need more of those cupcakes, meringues, and cookies!!

Ordered the Lemon Chick for the girlfriend’s birthday. It was moist and lemon-y - super delicious!
