I recently hired Jen (Van Herc Electrical Solutions) to help me with an electrical wiring issue in my home, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. From the very beginning, Jen was prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable.Not only did Jen take the time to explain the issue to me in a way that I could understand, but she also provided me with a range of options for how to resolve the problem. Jen and her team are phenomenal. They’ve done two light fixtures for us, and each time the service and skill has been great. Consummate professionals who even managed to squeeze me in on super short notice when our old ceiling fan died. Only electricians I’ll go to in Hamilton!

I was initially drawn to Van Herc because it’s a mostly women-employed team who appreciate old homes. This was important to me as a female homeowner with a century house and who in the past has faced mansplaining, carelessness and poor attention to detail from other tradespeople. Jen was on time and thorough with my quote. Came and installed a sconce like a sorcerer (through the walls from the basement vs creating big holes) and advised me on safety measures from previous contractor’s work and offered helpful tips on remediation. Her and her apprentice also installed reproduction push-button switches, an exterior light and gave me an outlet on my porch + tended to my many questions with patience and kind reassurance. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to friends. 21/10 thanks

Van Herc was great. Very professional. Had to do some substantial upgrades to our electrical panel to accommodate a hot tub connection. They did what they said they would do, in exactly the time they said they'd do it. I'm impressed with the follow up, the service and the timely electrical inspection. Would highly recommend!

VAN HERC ELECTRICAL did a complicated job that involved a fair bit of outside work on the day we had our biggest snowfall. So although challenged by the elements, the job was done professionally, for a very reasonable price. Thank you!Requiring an electrician for some interior lighting work, we again called on VAN HERC ELECTRICAL and experienced the same professional response and quality work!
