Backwoods Firewood Processing & Firewood Sales

Zero out of 5 Stars is my actual rating, and I would have given Backwoods negative stars if an option. As with others who have reviewed their experience with Backwoods Firewood, mine was perhaps the worst I've had in the history of doing commerce. The owner is quick to communicate, but has no follow up skills and only offers excuses as to why he cannot or will not make delivery. The excuses that he offered over several weeks of us communicating were so outlandish and creative, I could have never come up with anything like that. The only saving grace is that I did not pre-pay the product, instead offering cash upon delivery. My suggestion to anyone reading this and all of the other reviews, is to look elsewhere for firewood. Don't walk away, run away.

Cant deliver on time! An owner will harrasse you when you call!

My expirence has been terrible! Matthew failed to show up to 4 appointments over a 2 week period. Each time he picked the date and an estimated time, and then would not show up with varying excuses. Cold weather, flat tire, no truck available and finally no call no show. I'm not sure how he stays in business. There is however no shortage of pictures to go with his excuses. It's almost mean spirited when he doesnt show up to the third appointment, and you have to contact him to see if he's coming and his answer comes with a picture of a trailer full of wood that your not getting! Very unprofessional and a complete waste of time. The whole expirence was both frustrating and angering. You can save yourself a ton of stress by finding another supplier. Hope this helps. I'm happy to do an update if he reaches out to make this right.

Rented Equipment and wrote a bad check and will never collect the money owed. Need to take him to small claims.

Horrible experience. Kept coming up with excuses and delays for delivery times and dates. I made the mistake of prepaying and now it appears I will have take this company to small claims court to be reimbursed.

2nd time we have purchased wood from Backwoods and still very happy with the wood, price and service. We will be back.

Missed 5 delivery dates, made the mistake of prepaying. Nothing but excuses. Keeps telling me he sent my check back 3 months later nothing.Now have to go to small claims court to get my money back.

Good product, reasonable pricing and delivery was on time. Highly recommend using them.
