I have ordered multiple items for business parties and every single time the service is amazing!I send a lot of messages asking questions, pricing and protein weights and they are always quick and patient to respond!They send me photos rather than just telling me which goes over and beyond to meI have also rented their party event grill a couple times and it has made my events successful and much easierTheir product is tender and the portion sizes are greatSuper friendly staff and I love the look of the inside shop! Showcases are full, clean and beautifully presented!This will always be my #1 butcher shop!Thank you Franzs!

We have always been impressed by the quality and cut of all the meat we have purchased. The taste and selection of food at Franz’s is exceptional! From sirloin cap for Pichana to tenderloin for Beef Wellington and everything in between we know we can get the cut and quality we search for in a fine butcher shop. Took my girls into Peterborough to visit these guys! Grabbed some sundried tomato sausages, stuffed chicken with ham, chicken kabobs, ground beef and pork schnitzel. The quality is top notch!!!! My stomach feels so much better vs grocery store meat. We will be back very very soon! Our tummy and hearts are full :)

Reliably good beef. Beef kabobs a good option, tasty marinade, and if you can afford it, the rib eyes are a treat. Nice big scallops in the freezer.Nice staff and Franz himself, is a welcoming presence.

This is the place to go if you are looking at quality meats and side dishes. They have a fabulous selection of fresh sausages that you can mix and match. The chicken and beef are all prime cuts.Don’t forget to check out their freezer selection. We always leave with their maple breakfast sausages that goes great with our favourite breakfast dishes.As you head over to pay, you will find a wide selection of salads.Whatever you choose, it will be delicious.

Hans and staff recently catered my sons wedding at an outside venue, 45 minutes out of town. As the rain poured down and minimal coverage the most incredible wedding dinner was served to 120 guests. Beef, chicken and lasagna was quickly served in very generous portions. Guests raved about the dinner and dessert, truly it was incredible. What truly stood out was how every individual on staff was working as a team and like a family member. I appreciated your kindness to each other and to our family and friends. Wishing all of you much health, laughter and sunshine at every outdoor event!

That’s a real shame!I started going to Franz’s over 30 years ago. If I am within a two hour drive I will make a special trip and spend $100+ on Jerky alone, and of course a few other delish items.I remember back in the day being told that he would ship it to Germany so many people liked the jerky!This day I went in and there was only one couple in the store in front of me.I looked all around the counters to see who is serving and there is only one gentleman.So I chit-chatted with the customers ahead of me and waiting my turnThe next thing I know 10 minutes later I turn around and there’s eight other people in the store being served by four other counter servers.A customwr finally lets me in line, just to find out that there’s no jerky.I wasn’t treated very nicely and the whole experience really kind of sucked. I won’t be back.What a shame.

Friendly service and staff.However the meat was not up to expectation as I thought it’d be from the reviews.Had asked for advice on a steak for pan fried to a medium rare and was recommended the New York striploin.Found the striploin was tough to chew, not tender/melts in the mouth as I was looking for and not the freshest cut.Really wanted to support local butcher shops so decided to try Franz.Maybe got unlucky and chose the wrong pieces but was sadly disappointed.
