About the Business

Halifax & Dartmouth | The Courts of Nova Scotia | There are five courthouses located in the Halifax Regional Municipality. The Court of Appeal and Supreme Court sit primarily at the Law Courts building on Upper Water Street. Family law matters in HRM are heard at the courthouse on Devonshire Avenue. A new satellite courthouse on Mellor Avenue in Dartmouth is now the site for most criminal jury trials in the Halifax region. The Provincial Court sits in the courthouse on Spring Garden Road and in the Professional Centre on Pleasant Street in Dartmouth.

I have been trying to get ahold of someone for over 1 month not once have they picked up the phone or have they called me back after leaving a message this is actually super sad to see as this is the main court house for the province

They say email us to get a faster response.but no response. You then try to call them - no answer. And of course No reply to any voicemails you leave.This place is a joke, an illusion of ajustice system . just like the rest of the system.

Been there a few times paying tickets, acting as character references and a witness. This is what a court of law should" be: intimidating old architecture (used to house the Nova Scotia Museum in the 1960s if i recall properly)

Absolute garbage system, they don't answer the phone and the website doesn't work. If you have to pay a parking ticket by a certain date they make it really difficult for you so that they can charge you more. Petty thieves, nothing more.

The clerk (I think their name was Joey) was extremely helpful and friendly when assisting me in applying for a conviction strike. Of all the people I've spoken to about this issue, they were the only one to fully and clearly break down what I needed to do, without making me feel stupid. Thanks Joey!
