Canalta

This hotel is clean and rooms are spacious; the breakfast area is lovely and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I was frustrated at check in that they did not have the room I had reserved online through the Canalta site (we needed a kitchenette), and was equally frustrated to have been charged for two rooms after departure. If we have to stay there again I would call and book through hotel directly and make sure to stop at front desk to confirm charges. Oh, and it was 25 degrees in rooms and hallways as well. Hotel might want to keep on top of temperatures to prevent a/c being turned on in the middle of winter.

Awesome place to stay for a little town. The customer service makes you feel like you’re at home. They answered my questions and helped me when I reached out before I arrived. Mona was amazing at breakfast. A sweet spirit. She was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay again when I return.

I was staying a few nights for work, as I travel a fair amount. The rooms are clean, large. Internet is reasonably quick (a working ethernet port at the desk, and available wifi). Desk chair is a comfortable mesh fabric swivel chair. Bar fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room. I'd give the beds maybe a 4 or 5 out of 10. Not terrible, but there are better. The room had both a door into the hallway of the hotel, as well as a door to the parking area (you can park right outside your door, similar to a motel)Staff is very friendly and professional, the location is very near the local restaurants.The award for best hotel shower goes to Canalta Hanna, bar none. I was surprised to discover that the hotel gods had smiled on me and let me have not only water pressure/volume from the shower head... But actual hot water as well!! (Those of us who travel often know what I mean: it's usually one or the other, or often neither)Overall, a very positive experience. I would recommend, and would stay here again if I find myself in Hanna in the future.

Clean rooms but extremely over priced. If at all possible drive a bit further. It’s a supply and demand hotel so be expected to pay $150 to $175 for a roomBreakfast was fair and again it was clean. Just expect that price in Calgary or Edmonton not Hanna Alberta. Gouging comes to mind

Only 3 stars because this is the only hotel out of many that I have been to where they expect you to pay extra for a toothbrush if you forgot yours. Every other hotel that we've asked at before had them provided for free , but here they ask you to buy one from their 'store'. Considering the room is 200+ per night, you'd think they'd provide a $2 item .The staff in the breakfast room are very friendly and that was a good experience.There is also no pool. One of the websites for booking says there is a pool, but there is not. It is a hot tub.Our room also had some pretty nice water damage on the ceiling above the bed.At 9 am housekeeping comes in your room when checkout isn't until 11 am. Not a nice way to wake up and certainly doesn't make you feel very safe when they just kinda walk in while you are sleeping.Twice now there has been dirty towels hung in the bathroom and a dirty pillowcase.

My husband is working just outside of Hanna, AB, and we were planning a weekend trip to visit him. I tried booking a room online but wanted to call and see if they had any joining rooms. When I called, they did have them so we got prices on those and proceeded to book. The first room we had no issues booking except they sent the booking confirmation to the wrong email address. The second room (joining room) was all good until they upped the price when confirming by over $35. When I said that wasn't the price we agreed to, we were told to cancel and book online as it may be cheaper and there would be no cancelation fee as it was before the specified cancelation date. We agreed and he transferred our call to someone else to cancel. The lady who we were then transferred to said no problem I can cancel your booking but there will be a cancelation fee. I told her we were just told 2 minutes before that there is no fee. She told us if we didn't agree to the fee that she could not cancel. I then asked to speak to a manager and she placed me on hold only to return saying her manager wasn't available. Needless to say we will never stay there nor recommend this place to anyone.

Annie was an extremely nice person, extremely friendly and cordial, always smiling everytime i went by downstairs. Made my stay so much better, and put me in a good mood for the rest of the day!

We stay here for work every year and it's always an awesome experience. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. The free breakfast is a huge bonus and the ladies, (Mona & Julia) who keep this space welcoming and clean are absolutely amazing too - funny, kind and so helpful always. Mona was here last year and is always a pleasure to see. Julia makes a mean Omlette and Diane at the front desk went out of her way to help us out too! 5 stars! This crew is a huge assest to your business!! Thank you and we look forward you seeing you again next year!

The hot tub was only warm. Otherwise, the hotel staff and rooms were modern and spotless. Breakfast was superb. Great with our dogs.
