Thank you to the entire team at Pine Hills for their hard work, professionalism and organization of my mother’s visitation. Natalie and all the staff, managers, and everyone we dealt with was kind, understanding and we could not have asked for better service.

The ground/soil has been beatened up so much that every time it rains, it floods.

I had good experience until last month. My Uncle was rested here more than 40 years ago. I use to visit frequently with my cousins whenever they come from US which was almost every year.About 13 years ago I lost my husband and he is rested here too. My Father in law who passed away in 2017 is also rested here.We visit twice a year. I planted two dwarf Alberta Spruce about 3 years ago at my husband's plot and also at my father in laws.My brother in law visited when the cemetery reopened after the lockdown in May and he visited both the graves. And he said the plants were all there. But when my kids and I visited in June we were very upset to see my Alberta Spruce was not there. On one spot seems like cement was pour where the plant use to be.I emailed Pine Hill cemetery and the reception Pearl was very nice and helpful and said will look into this.I was told that the plants were planted outside the lot line. I asked them to mark it for me. I check and my plant were within the plot line so I do not understand why it was uprooted without my knowledge. They should have the courtesy to let us know before and not just have it uprooted. The ground manager said he will replant it but I was disappointed to see a small cedar scrub planted instead. I emailed again to ask why it was not replaced with the same original plant that I had...they said these are recommended by the property and it is easy to maintain whereas Alberta Spruce is harder to maintain. My uncle plot has two Alberta Spruce and doesn't even need maintaining or trimming.Really upset and disappointed with the property management. No consideration or respect for the loved ones that are laid to rest there.

The burial was mid May 2022; engraving and other services were paid. I received by mail the layout for my late mother information in February 2023. I responded promptly to the service manager via email with corrections and validation of all information needed. Yesterday Mother day, I went to visit my parents grave and noticed my late mother picture is not on the tomb and the engraving has not been done yet. Would this situation be normal for such a delay of time. I am seeking your thoughts and your comments. God Bless!

It is so peaceful here and there is beauty at every turn. A wonderful place to walk, collect your thoughts and reflect on life. My niece, when very young, once commented while passing by, that this is the place where all the dead people live. And I guess that's true. My grandmother and grandfather (on my mother's side), both of my parents, as well as my uncle (husband of my mother's sister) are all living here. One day I will join them.

My grandfather was laid to rest here a few years ago and the service was phenomenal. This was the opposite the other day for the service that my grandmother received. The makeup on my grandmother was done terribly, it was almost disheartening and sad for whoever did that, it looks like they had no clue what they are doing! (One of my cousins works in the business and even noticed it first). The service was completely unorganized, they kept changing the times last minute when the service would take place from 11 am to noon and back to 11 because the priest had other commitments and we have to rush the service" what kind of service is that when you pay a large sum of money? On top of that the staff were completely unprofessional and rude and kept trying to rush the service yet they provided no guide for everyone to follow. No rotational visits even though their website clearly states otherwise and there is a maximum of 50 people. Its completely disheartening that my grandmother received this level of service and had a lot of her friends and family not able to pay their respects because of all the switch ups and disorganization on Pine Hills part.Overall: Do not take your service here

This review is based on a recent issue with the property manager, and does not reflectThe positive efforts of the staff prior to April 2021.I visited my families grave site last weekend to find my late mothers lantern and some silk flowers removed by the staff !I was told when I inquired that if the glass was broken they usually just throw them out. This was not the case as the lantern was fully in tact.I was informed by the property manager Charlie Ireton the same. I had a recent photo of the site to prove it was neat and not broken. He didn't care.! Basically I was told they can remove what they want when they want without letting me know or anything. This is wrong! While other grave sites have several lanterns and decorations but were not affected. For religious reasons we had this here and now we are being denied that right. I read the bylaws and it didn't fall under the category of an item that should not have been there. They did nothing. So be warned, this could happen to you and your loved ones whenever the ground staff chooses to do so. I'm not done with this yet.

So many rules and charged $600 to bury a small box of ashes. They didn't allow anyone in to use the toilets, even though we all had masks. People came from Montreal for this! The response to my review from the Mount Pleasant Management team said their washrooms were closed due to health reasons. Another family member sent them an email about the same bathroom issue and their email response said the building must have been at capacity! There were no cars parked out front and now we're hearing 2 different stories...

We have a few family members laid to rest here, and it is a lovely cemetery. The grounds are well maintained, and the main building is very nice with bathrooms that are spotless. The staff are easy to talk with, and when we asked them to raise one of our family member's brass plate as it started to sink over time, they had it done asap.
