Ontario Regional Office – Trade Commissioner Service (TCS)

I called GAC more than 20 times, and the voice message said 5 business days to return the calls.. but still no response after 5 business... I am not sure, if there is someone who can help or addresses the issues of citizens.

The expensive Canadian Bureaucracy at it's finest. Horrible website that needs sorely to be updated. None of the links work and missing important information everywhere.

An update: it took about 30 days which is less than the advertised 65 days to process the authentication which was a pleasant surprise. It's still unclear why the office is not open for in-person service.Original review: I was shocked to find out that the processing time is 65 business days. What an embarrassment.

Having to wait 65 business days for documents to be authenticated is an embarrassment. What's just as bad is that they can't provide you with an update on your documents unless 75 business days have elapsed (that's more than 3 months). It's mind boggling. They also do not return phone calls. I've never come across an office as terrible as this. It gives me minimal pleasure to write this review, I just hope that someone from the office sees this and does something about it, but given it's a government agency, I doubt it.

How could a simple document take 65 days to be authenticated I don’t really know. This is an embarrassment. I want to have my degrees authenticated but I’m shocked by the timeline to proces them. The pandemic is already over, everyone is back to office, why global affairs has to keep its offices closed till this date is unexplainable! The process time to authenticate documents in third world countries takes 5-10 minutes at maximum. They don’t understand the meaning of citizens comfort, all they care about is their comfort only. I could lose a job offer, but still they don’t care, and how would I explain to the employer that my country takes forever to authenticate a document! I hope there is a responsible personnel that can look at the reviews he/she might understand how terrible they are and hopefully could process documents much much faster. Oh by the way I wish google had less than a star I feel so ashamed giving the value of one star.

Very processing time is very long.... 55 days plus mail time basically 3 month..

Trade Commissioner Service is a fantastic group of professionals to help a business know a new foreign market and enter it. They connected us with local(in foreign places) resources to know markets and choose wisely and helped us get into them.The Toronto office crew is helpful and also very friendly when asking them for help as a business for international trade, rather unfortunate they don't do visa work, or write tax returns cheques or print passports, or sign marriage certificates.....They should get on it!
