Well my personal experience of working with phenoswitch especially Hugo and Jean Phillipe to develop a label free quantification of ribosomal protein paralogs was really amazing and great.Ribosomal protein paralogs have very limited number of amino acid differences ..as limited as one...if it were not for Phenoswitch ...it wont have been possible to get such a high quality identification and quantfication of duplicated ribosomal proteins in yeast.I am highly indebted and thankful to Hugo and Jean Phillipe for their perseverance, commitment, help and guidance during the tough times of optimization...A part of paralog specific quatification data was recently published (PMID 31863578) and the other part is submitted to a high impact factor journal ..finger crossed !!!if you you need to use mass spec for identification and quantification of your moleculeI strongly recommend you to talk to these guys ...!Mustafa Malik GhulamPost doctoral FellowRNA therapeutic instituteUmass medical schoolWorcester, Massachussetts
