Stride Place
The Shindleman Aquatic Centre is a good place for families. It has a lazy river and wave pool. It gets a bit crowded though on weekends.

We went to their wave pool. Fee was OK. Kids and adult will surely enjoy(we did). Life jackets and floaties are free. We liked it that the pool floor on the shallow part is rubberized. They have slides too.

The place has two hockey arenas. We had a hockey tournament there and it was great! Stride arena has a very comfortable viewing area all around the arena with fan's section. Portage mutual arena has three rows of seats on one side of the arena, but the viewing in from the above which is great.There is a nice hockey supply store inside.Canteen was working.Parking was full and it was not easy to find a spot. In addition it was snowy weekend and the city roads to the place were not cleaned at all which was the only thing that disappointed us.

The reception staff are always so helpful, kind and patient. The facility is kept clean and offers many options for recreation, fun and wellness.

Stride Place is great. I just got a membership recently and so far so good. No issues with the staff, they are always friendly and no issues with the place, it’s always so clean!The lockers and change rooms are well-maintained and kept clean.The pool is heated to a really comfortable temperature.From my observations, Public Swim times can be incredibly busy and so I would encourage you to come early.Fitness Swim for members (6am to 8am) is when I would recommend you come. It’s usually not busy. I haven’t tried mid-day yet.There are always lifeguards on duty which is fantastic.Gym area is also super clean and has great equipment.

Great rink(s)Home of the Portage Terriers so it's a big rink with plenty of seating around the entire ice surface. We came to participate in a minor hockey tournament.. The Portage Cup.The rink was fantastic from dressing rooms, player benches, to the fan seating and concessions.Great place for hockey....

My review is for the pool area. It's a wonderful facility. Very modern and clean, well maintained. Change rooms are better than most (clean and spacious). Well staffed, too. Can't ask for more. Great place for young families with small kids.

Went to a Terriers game here recently and was surprised by the quality of the arena. The sears were comfortable and had decent space between them. Because it’s a small arena there is no bad seat. The building also includes another arena with fewer seats, a fully stocked gym and a pool with a water slide and conference room.

I never knew about this place since I live in winnipeg, we went to see the city and saw the pool by chance. Wow, amazing staff, very friendly and family oriented folks there. Thanks a lot for the services, all amazing. A town with lots to offer and promising.
