CanScribe Career College

The school and course itself were fine. I learned what I needed to for a career in medical transcription. The course was extensive and informative. I felt prepared looking for work after graduating. However, when I signed up for the MT course I was told that most employers will waive the 2-5 year experience requirement and hire CanScribe graduates. I personally did not and do not find this to be true at all. Most places still require the experience and don't hire new graduates. The ones that do pay very low. I suggest that you research thoroughly the demand for work and requirements before choosing this career. If you still decide to pick this career, then CanScribe is a good school to learn it.

My CanScribe experience from initial contact through to graduation and beyond has been friendly, supportive, thoroughly comprehensive, and very rewarding. The instructors were amazingly helpful and insightful and 3 years down the track they are still are the voice in my head" helping me to navigate the daily challenges of being a full time MT working from home. It was an uphill climb at times to complete the program

I've been doing my course for about a month now and I have had nothing but a great experience. Anytime I need support from the Instructors or Tech Support they are there to chat immediately. Whenever you may need assistance on an assignment they are more then willing to go over things with you and give you tips and advice. The student services department is incredibly helpful as well when getting the process started. They will answer any questions you may have and thoroughly explain how it will all go to get your course started. I highly recommend CanScribe College to anyone looking for something to get a career started!!!

The CanScribe team was wonderful! I finished the MT/HDS course online and it is extremely user-friendly. The instructors and staff offer support and are readily accessible as needed at anytime. I gained employment right after graduation and I love the opportunities this career offers. So glad I chose CanScribe Career College!

Have been enrolled in the Virtual Assistant course for just over a month now and am finding the instructors to be helpful in answering my questions and pointing me in the proper direction. However, I have noticed that some of the course material seems a little outdated (Windows 10 demonstrations are from 2015, many updates and minor changes to Windows make their screenshots a bit difficult to follow). Overall I am learning lots and it fits it nicely with my work schedule. Taking the VA course because Medical Transcription alone doesn't earn enough money (graduated from MT course in 2013 and hired right away with InScribe [inside 3 weeks of graduating] and then went to MModal [now AQuity solutions within 5 months of graduating]).

Please stay away for the reasons below.1)They say that they are the only approved college from AHDI. But that means nothing. Are all the medical transcriptionist graduated from canscribe only? So then how they become MT. The reason is that AHDI do not require you to graduate from canscribe. It only requires you to do formal training from any MT college. That means no matter where you do your MT training you will have to appear for AHDI exam to become a Medical Transcriptionist.2) Canscribe fees will be low compared to other colleges. But their passing garde is 85%. Most of their graduates have enrolled twice and then graduated. So it is a waste of time and money. I did this program with two 2 year old kids and scored 80% but still I failed. So it is hard to pass in first try. You will have to pay another fees. There is no second try.3) The study material is ok for theory. But the clips they provide you for practical training are from from early 2000 or from the 20th century. These are the same type of clips they provide for your two mid term and one final exam. Technology had improved at lot in this era. No medical clinic or no doctors uses outdated voice recorders these days. The clips will have lot of disturbance and a lot of babbling. Enroll at some other college where they have latest stuff which is more practical in today's world.4) In your practical training, if you are not able to comprehend the babbling, they tell us to leave it blank. If in exam you leave it blank you lose score. During training if you ask the trainer what is the doctor babbling they also don't know it many times.5)The good thing is they will continuously follow up with you for your progress and reach out to you. So assistance is good. it is hard for a candidate to score high in two mid terms and even score 80% over all and fail in final

I have been a student of the CanScribe Career College since January 2016. So far, my interactions and communication with the CanScribe teachers, student services and staff have been really amazing.I have been a newbie to the Medical Transcription world, and before that just had some interest in typing and working from home, as a valuable asset to have quality time with family. When I heard about CanScribe College, I approached them and the staff was really prompt in getting all the educational requirements fulfilled and I was glad that I made a good decision for taking my career to the next level as an MT.I highly recommend CanScribe Career College if anyone is trying to go for Medical Transcription field, and is struggling among schools. The staff, the study, the Student services, and the teachers, they will all work with you, and give you that base that you need to become a successful Medical Transcriber.

I can't say enough great things about CanScribe Career College. I graduated in January of this year with honors. The staff & instructors are second to none & my educational experience with the college was absolutely amazing. I always had help when I needed it. The staff helped me excel. After graduation, I obtained a job immediately, & all because of CanScribe & their amazing reputation. I would absolutely recommend CanScribe to anyone who is looking to begin a new career! Enrol with confidence!!I spent a lot of time and effort researching CanScribe and several other colleges offering a Healthcare Documentation course. I am convinced that I made the best choice with CanScribe.I am well into the course now, and I am happy to say that it is going well. I have had occasion to receive assistance from admissions staff, technical support, and instructors. All have have been very professional and helpful. There is no need to be concerned about feeling alone or isolated because of it being an online course. The staff is definitely there to help!

I am finding my experience and CanScribe to be great! I ran into some issues over the last couple of weeks, losing confidence in myself. The instructors and staff at CanScribe were available and helped put my back on track and feeling better about moving forward. The available resources are amazing, I love the webinars!!
