Piano Piano bottom line is delicious. Each space is a little different but you definitely know you are in a Victor Barry restaurant. The place practically hums with great vibes and happy customers. It’s always busy so definitely make a reservation.I have never had anything but great a service from meet and greet to the table. Now onto the food. It’s superb. For such a busy spot I have yet to have anything but consistent eats.Must haves for me are definitely the prosciutto plate with grapes and parm, egg yolk ravioli can’t be taken off the menu, the bee sting pizza and calamari and artichokes just to name a few.If I was going to make a suggestion, and I feel this is a must….please change the sharing oval lipped dishes to a plate that can hold some food! These are simply annoying. That mini rave over. Plates, dishes, it’s delicious !

This popular Italian restaurant was recommended by my sister. We came here to celebrate her birthday. Reservations for groups of 6 or more require you to give your credit card. If you don't show up, they will charge $25 /person.The place wasn't packed yet, but as soon we hit dinner hour around 7 pm - 8:30 pm, it was completely full. There are seats on the patio available, but it was chilly to tonight. The server was nice, and she greeted us and asked us if it was our first time here or not. That's a great way to open a conversation with your guests, and I appreciated that. She also answered our questions about the family style dinner $65 / person. Since we had some specific dietary preferences, we just ordered off the menu. The menus are very cute and made into a fold up newspaper with headlines to guide your eyes around it. It's a Great looking menu! Now for the food. We ordered some appetizers and snacks to share. The proscoutto crudo was fresh and delicious. Nice sweet grapes served on top along with some grated Parmigiano.I didn't try the shrimp cocktail $13, but there were 4 large tiger shrimps served on a martini glass. My nephew enjoyed it.The calamari fritti had a nice dipping sauce, but for $19, it was a little bit overpriced for the portion size.Spicy Manila clams $14 were served on top of a foccacia bread. The sauce wasn't overpowering or spicy. The clam meat seemed to be miniature size, but the taste was on point.I ordered the Chicken Piccata $32. It was a lightly breaded chickn breast topped with arugula, and the sauce had a hint of lemon, garlic, capers, and parmesan. I loved soaking up the fried chicken in the sauce. Very well executed dish!My wife ordered the roasted seabass $32. This was served with manila clams, chopped potato cioppino. The seabass was fileted and had a nice crispy skin, and the meat was cooked perfectly. Another well presented dish!My brother's Veal Parmesan is $36, which was massive. The long tbone made the dish stand out. If you are a carnivore with a big appetite, this would be the go-to dish. The other dishes looked appealing. My nephew did note that the meatball in the rigatoni dish was a bit on the dry side. Maybe Nona had the day off on Thursday. The desserts were pretty good. I like the Nutellla Tiramisu and chocolate caramel budino. The soft serve was nothing special.Service was great, and the server even brought a sparkling candle to accompany our desserts for my sister's bday. Very nice touch. Now, a few things that need improvement. Our table had a few annoying fruit flies that kept flying around our food and drinks. This place is super loud when it's full. The acoustics and soundproofing of the walls reduce the noise bouncing off the walls. If you're looking for a romantic place to have a date and casual conversation, then look elsewhere or plan to eat here quickly and relocate to a lounge or cafe for a night cap. This venue is good for girls' night out. The food and service were excellent here. Portions could be bigger for some dishes. We will try to visit their downtown location next time!

We went for lunch on Sunday at 1pm, and although the atmosphere is excellent and the service is decent, the staff had to apologize several times for not having the dishes on the menu that we ordered . Being an Italian restaurant with only 4 pasta options, at least it should have them available. We were also very clear that we wanted extra parmesan for all, and they brought two tiny containers of cheese. We had to ask for more. The same happened with the bread. We asked for bread and it had a cost.Italian restaurants always serves bread. Which we did not mind paying, however it is part of Italian dishes. They forgot to bring our drinks and we had to remind them . On the positive side, the dishes and dessert we ordered were all very delicious.

I enjoyed my birthday dinner here. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The place was cozy, somewhat fancy, and had a friendly vibe. Although it’s a bit pricey, it’s a great restaurant serving spectacular and mouthwatering Italian food.

I'm often harsh on most upscale italian restaurant chains in the city, but I must say this one is unlike all the others! I've dined at most Piano Piano locations, most recently Mount Pleasant for my mom's birthday. We enjoyed every dish that was ordered, ranging from the Burrata Con Funghi and Croquettes alla Vodka as our starters, to the The Hot Rod Pizza and Egg Yolk Ravioli for our mains. All were delicious but the Croquettes rised above the others, a definite must-try. Portion sizes were brilliant and offered not much room for dessert ;) Atmosphere was lively and the service was good for a chain restaurant. Overall must-try!

This would describe why it was our last time going to Piano Piano mount pleasant ( 8 enthusiastic food lovers) but very much disappointed.Well, I start from the beginning which we booked the table 3 days before the Saturday night for 9:30 but they made us standing at the door for more than 20 minutes. So what is the point of Booking then ?When we arrived at the table we noticed one of the water glasses was dirty and when we asked our waitress to change it she grabbed it very quick without any explanation or apology. I should mention that there was no welcoming or smile or introduction from our waitress.About that $100 Steak:It’s very simple when you have steak. 3 Simple rules.1. Normally in restaurants They ask you How you want your steak? Didn’t happened in piano piano2. Normally in restaurants when you have steak they bring it Hot ? Didn’t happened in piano piano3. Normally in restaurants when they bring steak they brink Steak knife !!!! Didn’t happened in piano pianoYes they forgot to ask us how you want your steak, they served a very cold steak and they forgot to offer the steak knifeThe worst part is when we asked the manger why our steak is cold he did nothing and just said let me see what magics I can do…. Well We don’t need magic. We had a terrible experience which is not going to be fixed by a small discount which is very disrespectful rather than offering us a hot food. That was about the piano piano

We were a group of 5 and some were running late with traffic but everyone was so pleasant and let us sit and chitchat while we waited. Our server was so nice and accommodating and we never felt rushed. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Def will be back to try other items on the menu!

The place is very beautiful, I didn’t like the music and was loud so was hard to have a conversation. They have a nice lunch promotion that includes appetizer, pasta or pizza and dessert .Don’t have much variety of pasta (personally I like vermicelli or spaghetti) so I had to chose something else, had the ravioli and was good. Pizza was good, but my favourite plate was de cesar salad, I will comeback just for that :)

Amazing service. Staff were so friendly. The vibes was so cute and perfect for a girl night out, we ended up stay till closing because we enjoyed the atmosphere. I highly recommended getting the olives and the calamari for starters! The Nutella tiramisu was also amazing. This place is also perfect little spot for a date night.

Okay. Wow. I guess the reviews for this spot was very high already, but deserves to be higher. My girlfriend had recommended this restaurant over a year ago, and finally had the time to visit them, and they did not disappoint. Now I know, they were rated high, so I went in with high expectations, and I was met with high service. The people were friendly, the food was amazing, the sauces were amazing. Usually, would not have been able to finish a full main, after appetizers, however, couldn't resist finishing.Loved this restaurant, and will try and come back for sure.
