Murray's Farm Butcher Shoppe

Earlier today my girlfriend and I stopped by, and lucky for us the lovely Helen was able to guide us through our first visit at Murray's Farm Butcher Shoppe.Though my partner is vegetarian, she was dazzled by the selection, spices, sauces, pumpkin pie ice cream (you read the correctly!)and general atmosphere of the shop. I was so fortunate to step in there and it won't be the last time by a long shot.Thank you to the entire staff for their amazing work!ps: their chicken sausage is the best I've ever had.

Went there for my first time recently. Paid $12/lb for ground beef. Made some burgers and they were pretty good. Unfortunately they weren’t $12/lb good. I’m ok with paying for quality and that the quality from a butcher will often be better than what you’d get at a grocery store. I don’t think this was worth 3-4x more than I’d pay at a grocery store though. This place charges exorbitant prices. There are better value butcher shops in the area.

Just had the pleasure of purchasing beef short ribs and farmers sausage. The staff is absolutely the most friendly and knowledgeable ever. I cooked the beef short ribs as Jo suggested and omg amazing. The farmers sausage is beyond the best I’ve ever had. No need to go to st Jacob's or the farmers market as these are the best and so tasty. During Covid I can see why there was always a line up of people waiting to get in. Worth it. A couple that was in before me said they first went there because they won a certificate for this place and now won’t go anywhere else.

Great butcher, expect to pay a premium but you see it in the quality of the meats. Tonnes of local products too

Good customer service, ordered 2.5 lbs of Beef Tenderloin for the holidays to make a Beef Wellington. Unfortunately, the meat was of good quality but I specifically asked for a level cut to roll the Beef Wellington and upon picking up, even the cashier was shocked as the cut was shaped like a fish tail.I won’t visit again.

I should have read the previous review as this is now a recurring issue with Murray’s. On Monday, I called to inquire about their short rib inventory. They told me they did not have any but they will get some in by Friday evening if I place an order. Delighted, I placed an order. On Friday morning, I called to confirm my order was still on track. Then in the evening on Friday, they informed me that they did not receive any short ribs from their vendor.It would have been a better interaction if they gave a heads up prior to placing the order that there is no guarantee they will receive short ribs from their vendor. Instead, they continued to confirm that everything was on track. I was left scrambling for an important dinner. Thankfully J.Waldron Butchers still had short ribs in stock- great quality and lovely service.

Amazingly tender, perfect fat to meat ratio, beef blade roast. The best we've ever tasted, from grocery stores to local meat delivery services, theirs was the best so far. Pork belly (in photos) and chicken were also top quality. Excellent customer service. Arrive early for best selection. They do sell out of items.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Oh you gotta try their sausages! Fresh and tasty, if they have the caramelized onion and smoked bacon sausage...get 'em! Cook up some cabbage and taters and...oh goodness.

I spent $20 on half a pound of pig heart and two burger patties. I feel like that was a little expensive and I didn’t really taste a difference from what I get at the grocery store that would be half the price but I’ll give it another try because they claim to be better quality but I’m not sure.

First time I've been in, friendly and helpful. We bought a Ribeye steak 1.2lbs WOW was it fantastic. Very tender and flavourful. We will be return, thanks so much!
