We stopped at Knoyrart cheese factory on June 30th while visiting the area on an anniversay stayçation. What a delightful experience. Charming service best cheese ever. Stop, bring cash if you can, we did not, but they helped us out anyway. A new NS favorite.

Knoydart Farm Cheese
We found a wonderful soft cheddar to have at our end of day campsite. Their Poppy Seed & Garlic is creamy and savoury at the same time with a wonderful sharp cheddar flavour.Lovely!

My wife and I drove there while on our way to Cape Breton. 20 minutes from the highway. Farm right in front of the ocean. Perfect place to take a break and buy some cheese. They have a Cheese House next to the farm, where you can buy their amazing cheddar cheeses and cheese curds made on site from organic grass-fed milk right from their cows. The family came from Scotland in the 70's. There is also a nice lighthouse very close in Arisaig.

Knoydart Farm Cheese
Bought the cheddar cheese with hickory smoked flavour from Farmer’s Daughter shop. I have never said this about any cheese, ever, but it was horrible. I spit it out. Acrid and bitter, it has the texture of something very non-cheese like. Can’t put my finger on it. Also, we unfortunately did not see that the cheese expired more than two months ago and even though it’s not mouldy, I wonder if that contributed to the awful taste. P.S. I love smoked cheese and have eaten much of it, but nothing I’ve ever had tasted bad. This cheese is just plain awful.

We passed by on a road trip and decided to pick up a few cheeses. The garlic & poppyseed cheese was delicious and creamy! I loved it on our charcuterie board.However, the apple & mint cheese was very disappointing. There are several other reviews that said it was awful, but we decided to try it anyway. Sadly, they were right. We couldn't finish the brick. Hopefully the cheesemaker can find a way to balance out the bitter mint flavours; I'd be willing to try it again in the future.

We stopped on our way to Antigonish and had a delightful visit with Fraser. Tasted the cheese samples and left with a marvelous cheddar to savor! A memorable experience, Thank you!
