Halifax Chem-Dry

I’m a long time customer of Chem-Dry. Great interior carpet service, knowledgeable staff, pick up/drop off rug cleaning...and they can detail our work vehicles too!

The initial contact with this company was great. The lady on the phone was super helpful. The guy that came to clean the carpet was also really nice. And this is why I can give them any stars.As for the job done carpet cleaning wise - for the $200+ that it cost, I was very disappointed. The cleaning that was done on the stairs left the edges brownish. As if the ends of the carpet on the stairs had absorbed dirty water. As for the stains on the carpets in the main living areas - when the carpet cleaner left the carpets were still quite wet so you couldn’t really tell if any of the stains were gone. Once the carpet dried you could see that most stains were still there. I bought some carpet cleaner and sat down and cleaned several spots by hand myself and they came out.Additionally, the carpet in spots, actually felt crusty once it dried. I am not sure why but it was pretty gross.For these reason I would have to say I do not recommend them.

Wouldn't recommend hiring this fly by night operation for your home or business, owner needs to provide proper PPE for his staff.

Highly professional and do an excellent job

A gentleman from Chem Dry just left. He was very professional, very friendly and on time. He called when he was on his way out. He cleaned our stairs and living room furniture. The carpet on the stairs, we thought we'd have to tear out due to stains etc. They look brand new! Our furniture as well. We have always used Chem Dry over last 16 years, but hadn't in last few years (just wasn't getting our furniture cleaned). We are reminded as to why we did! Excellent company to deal with.

I highly recommend Halifax Chem-Dry, they show up on time, do great work, and their prices are very reasonable, I will use the again for all my carpet and upholstery cleaning.
