Little Koala Montessori Academy Richmond

We have had two children go through the entire LKMA Richmond program (2-3 years each) and I highly recommend it to parents. Our family and friends' children also attend this institution and we are very happy with the educational quality and various hands-on learning activities each day. My daughter has really thrived in the learning environment and loves her full day/full-time experience at LKMA. The teachers are calm, patient, and kind. They lead the children to be independent and curious about the world around. Each activity is purposeful and learning is scaffolded according to each child's ability. There is a very good balance of activities for the children to learn and thrive in their interested elements. Also, love receiving daily pictures of my daughter doing her activities and learning with friends!!I like how children also learn numerous songs connected to the learning themes of the month. She comes home singing about continents, seasons, months, food, nature cycles, etc. Songs are also accompanied by actions so multiple-intelligences are targeted each day. I am also very impressed by the wide span of academic learning. Journals/reports about daily life, life cycles of plants/flowers/biological items, and countries are brought home each week by my 5-year-old. She is reading, writing, adding, subtracting and being introduced to multiplication and division concepts! She is happy and proud of her achievements and we really appreciate the teachers and staff at Richmond LKMA for their professionalism and dedication throughout the years. If you are lucky enough to get your child enrolled into the LKMA Richmond branch, they will be well situated in a positive and safe learning environment.

My son has been attending since Summer 2020 and it has been a great experience for both him and us, as parents. The staff are professional and have well adapted to handle the COVID environment, keeping our concerns at ease. Our child has grown and developed in ways that have exceeded our expectations, and it is evident that the teaching at Little Koala is the leading reason. We appreciate the constructive feedback that the teaching staff provides and the effort that is put in to the weekly photo updates.

I have been sending my both kids to this school for the past 8 years. My youngest one just graduated and will be attending kindergarten soon. I can't say enough good things about them. The teachers are wonderful, very professional and actually care about your kids learning. Highly recommended.

Little Koala Montessori Academy has excellent teachers who are caring and patient with our daughter. Enrolling and choosing in a Montessori Preschool was very important to us, LKMA checks off all of the boxes. We chose to send our daughter to a Montessori Preschool that has a mix age group in the classroom, provides hands on materials, the activities are age appropriate they are developmentally matched to their level of challenge. LKMA has activities to help with hand eye coordination, practical life activities and have children focused and engaged in what they are doing. The teachers there helps my daughter to be independent, self-sufficient and confident at a young age. She loves attending school and comes home happy, singing and speaking of her friends and teachers.

Very clean and organized rooms with many Montessori learning materials. Many daily pictures taken showing activities. Excellent teachers and manager with care and professionalism. We are extremely thankful manager wrote the recommendation letter for my son's kindergarten application.

Little Koala is a wonderful daycare. My daughter attends daycare here and she loves it. Teachers are friendly, very kind, informative, nurturing and helpful. My daughter always tells me at home how much she loves her teachers and her friends. Classrooms are very clean and they follow all the safety measures. I highly recommend enrolling your kids to Little Koala Montessori Academy.

Both my oldest daughter and son have attended Little Koala Montessori in their preschool years. My daughter was there from 2016-2019 and my son started in 2018 until now. They have really warm and caring teachers who guide the children in the Montessori environment in a thoughtful way. I feel confident sending my children there knowing that they are well cared for, learning the Montessori curriculum, and at the same time, prepared for their elementary years. I look forward to sending my third child there very soon. Highly recommended preschool!

My daughter started at Little Koala Montessori Academy in the fall of 2019 with class 2 and I have been very impressed with the quality of care and experience of the teachers. You can really see how dedicated the teachers are and how much effort they put in with the children. I would definitely recommend this school to other parents.

My daughter has been at Koala for over a year now, she loves going to daycare and we love sending her there. The staff at Koala are very caring and they provide a great environment for children to grow and learn.We're very appreciative of the effort and care Koala takes to ensure the safety and experience of our children during this pandemic. My daughter not only learn fluent English here but also how to write, sing, draw, dance, yoga, the list goes on and have made wonderful friends along the way. We will be sending our second daughter to Kaola in the coming months and have no doubt she will have a great time.
