Reserve in advance!!! The service to reserve is a mess and if you reserve be sure to get a room to sleep at least a bit (if you do it overnight) I mean for 40$ you could shower and get a bed for your 5 hours trip instead of being on a bench. If you travel with your dog or dogs be sure to bring warm clothes, cause you'll be outside in the cold and wind for 5 hours!

Great service. If you want a room, send one person to the door right away and run upstairs to the cashier while the cars are still loading. You avoid the lines and the room is only $40 for 5 hrs. Bed and shower included.

Great employees but transport truck have to park on top of a hill instead lineing up in the staging area

It’s sept 27th and hurricane Fiona just reeked havoc in the maritimes. We were scheduled to travel from Souris pei to the magedaline islands. With the devastation both in pei and Maggie’s we had to cancel the trip from Nova Scotia. Ctma. has a $75 cancellation fee. We felt given the extreme circumstance this would be waived. We would be suffering power outages and gas shortages on our route if we travelled. As seniors we did not wish to take these chances. This was all explained to both the first customer service person and supervisor. We were told to either accept the $75 penalty or have a credit for a later time . After several reviews of the written policy which in my view case lacked “common sense” we advised we could not reschedule for later and had no idea (age) what next year would bring. Requested the refund and took the $75 penalty. There seemed no logical way to exercise any discretionary common sense in this case. This is very much a matter of principal. Because of ctma I think we shall just check the Maggie’s “off” of our bucket list. Be wary. Dan urquhart

Beautiful ship, nice cabins, good restaurant, helpful staff

If travelling overnight either book a room or prepare to bring lots of blankets and pillows, the chairs don’t recline much for sleeping making it difficult for some, I noticed a lot of people brought small mattresses and would find any flat surfaces to set up and sleep there for the ride so that’s an option if you don’t want to pay for a room. The actual boat is fairly old, there is a theatre that plays movies in french, there aren’t any convenient plugs that I could find for charging phones or devices so be prepared for that. There is a quiet lounge where they turn the lights off for sleeping, but also other areas like a cafeteria, bar and small gift shop as well as the deck on top with very pretty views as you’re departing. The staff is mostly all french but can usually understand some English without too much of a problem.
