Amiro's Steak House
Beyond disappointing! Doesn't even deserve one star. We drove over an hour and came in for a family dinner with our three daughters, it was 4:40pm when we got there, the restaurant was quiet with only one other table being served. The waitress greeted us and told us there was no chicken gravy but there was still beef gravy which wasn't a problem. We were served our drinks and placed our order for a beef stir fry with noodles, junior spaghetti, junior chicken fingers and fries, veal cutlets with clam chowder to start and a cajun chicken Caesar salad with mozzarella sticks and deep fried pickles. After about 5 minutes the waitress returned to tell us that they did not have any stir fry (chicken or beef) and no deep fried pickles. We replaced the stir fry with another junior spaghetti. We received our clam chowder and mozza sticks after 20 minutes of waiting. At 5:20 we were still waiting for our food to arrive, each time the waitress passed by she would whisper its coming

Amiro's Steak House
Coming from the States I have been in Canada for over a year and dined in restaurants from Winnipeg, Edmonton and Calgary which I did not find an extra ordinary restaurant. However today I find myself in a very small community called High Prairie. This little place is not much to look at however the food here at Amiro's Steak House put a smile on my face and warmth in my heart. The Ruben sandwich and clam chowder was so good it reminded me of home. Hmm maybe even better! Thank you for a lovely experience!

Waited an hour for a steak dinner with garlic prawns, ordered it blue rare, it came more than well done, prawns were so cooked they were like a bay shrimp… terrible, terrible, terrible!!! Paid almost 40.00 for two Cesar’s… will never go back

I'm here visiting for work and oh God, what a disappointment!! 6 of us ate and only 1 person got everything they ordered and it wasn't terrible. Every other person was either missing things, the Mashed potatoes where terrible, my friends steak was so terrible he was maybe able to eat 2 bites of a whole 10oz steak as it was mostly tendons. Point being DONT EAT HERE. The only upside is I complained and we had my meal compt from the order.

The menu was huge in the service was pretty good. The menu being large is probably a detriment to the quality of the food. I had the grilled chicken and it was rubbery and inexplicably covered in tomato sauce. The potatoes were not a great choice of side.It looked like people were ordering more from the Burger menu, I ordered from the entree menu and added mushrooms (canned).The fries were absolutely delicious. I probably just suffered from ordering the wrong thing of of the huge menu.

Food was flavourful and well presented. Service was a little slow but it is a small town. Relaxed environment. Recommend.
