Eight paws has been fantastic and led us to our wonderful Jango. They were very upfront about everything and explained the adoption of a rescue very thoroughly. There were no surprises and our adoption went smoother then I could have hoped for. Any question I had they answered me immediately. Communication was excellent. They love these dogs and just want to find the perfect match so both the dog and adopter are very happy. Don’t hesitate to go through Eight Paws. Fantastic experience!

We have been very impressed with how thorough the adoption process has been with Eight Paws Dog Rescue. From the application process, thorough interview, and provision of videos/photos of the potential home all focus was on getting the right home for the dog. So many questions were asked back and forth because we wanted what was best for the dog as well.Once we had our new dog at home we were pleasantly surprised to be contacted the next day and several more times to ensure that things were going smoothly. Eight Paws shared some advice and were so helpful. We followed every recommendation and all is going very well.We look forward to providing the required updates and photos. Once you connect with the volunteers at eight paws you immediately recognize how much they care about the animals they represent and how seriously they take the task of finding the right home for these pups. When we found Chaka online, it amazed us how thorough the process was they followed throughout the adoption process and how closely they follow the care and condition of how Chaka is doing with his new forever family. The ongoing updates eight paws request on how our Chaka is doing just reinforces to us how much they care about these dogs even after they are adopted. As long time pet parents of both dogs and cats its great to see the care and diligence eight paws takes in rescuing and placing these poor animals in a better, happier environment and much better life.Chaka is an amazing addition to our family and we love him to no end. We have adopted 2 dogs from Eight Paws this year. They are a very dedicated group who are serious about the well-being of the dogs in their care. They were very detailed and thorough with the adoption process, making sure every dog is placed in a home where they can be safe and thrive. It was a pleasure working with them.

I came across eight paws rescue from a friend who adopted two dogs from them! That’s where I found Lily ♥️ Eight Paws had gone through a thorough interview with my entire family who would be caring for the dog. They even asked for a second interview with my in-laws who would also be caring for Lily from time to time. I really loved how thorough they were when it came to making sure Lily was being put into a good home. It’s not just getting a dog, getting a rescue is a different experience and you have to put the dog first in all cases. Lily truly is a good fit for us but most importantly she has learned to trust her humans who care for her now.

Last fall I came across Eight Paws dog rescue through an Adopt-a-Pet agency. I have to say every step of the adoption process was great.The application was long but covered so much detail to help the organization make an informed decision and narrow down candidates to make the best possible match for both the dog and the family. This was followed up by 2 lengthy but necessary interviews along with photos and videos of inside our home and yard. The importance of this step is to ensure the dog is placed in a safe secure home. Rescues are great at escaping because of their insecurities. Dog rescue organizations cannot stress this enough. Almost daily I see posts on Facebook of rescue dogs escaping.Eight Paws were diligent in informing me of important medical information of the dog, and always responded quickly to any questions I had.We were thrilled to be selected. The experience has been great starting with the detailed pick up in Toronto, the detailed information given on what to expect when we arrived home and timelines to follow in order that the dog and us would have a very positive experience.Eight Paws Rescue also expect lots of updates from us that started weekly for quite some time and now monthly. Our dog loves providing her updates too now and then.After I volunteered and worked in the service dog industry for 20 years I feel that Eight Paws Rescue does amazing work in placing these very special dogs in forever homes.Thank you for saving these precious pets!

We adopted our puppy through Eight Paws about 7 months ago and we are in LOVE! The interview process was very thorough and Eight Paws provided a lot of great information. I can’t recommend or thank them enough for helping them is with our good boy!!
