Barn Playhouse

Excellent outing in the country. The play and actors were fun and memorable. Food was good quality and tons of choices. We hope to be back.

For the last three years my husband, brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew-in-law have attended the Christmas Dinner Theatre. This is now tradition for us! We have such a fantastic time from the horse drawn ride to the barn to the standing ovation at the end of the play. The food, the play and the atmosphere really makes the Christmas feeling come alive in your heart. The Dyck family pour their heart and soul into making it an evening to remember. We highly recommend The Barn Playhouse!!!

Just saw Tevye and his daughters at the Little Cafe this afternoon with three of my grand-daughters. Wonderful show! We laughed. We cried. We enjoyed every minute of the show! Vickie Dyck is such a gifted writer and she did the best job ever of playing Tevye - from her accent to her facial expressions to her singing, she is AMAZING!! If there are still tickets to next week’s shows, you should definitely go!

The Barn Playhouse has held 2 quilting retreats, all with covid protocols in place in 2021. Set up was on Thursday, quilting from 9 - 9 on Friday to Saturday and 9- 3 on Sunday. This facilty is not set up for overnight accommodations but is a few minutes from Martensville, Warman, or Saskatoon.A wonderful facility to quilt in. Set up was excellent. Long 12' tables per person, ironing, cutting and display wall stations. Friday had lunch and supper provided, Saturday had breakfast and lunch and supper, and Sunday had breakfast and lunch provided. The catering lady made all homemade food, or if needed, special dietary meals, all meals were deliciousA great place to quilt with friends, meet new friends and have lots of fun. A local quilt shop had a pop up store which was wonderful.The Barn Playhouse plans on having 3 such retreats lin 2022. Spring, summer and fall.

DisappointedRecently attended the BP and was disappointed. 1) the play was average and it looked like the actors were trying too hard. 2) the cost of the food vendors is very very expensive and the portions weee very small.

Since moving back to the area we have gone a few times. Tonight we took in a Christmas Carol. Excellent meal and great acting. The fellow who played Scrooge did an excellent job. All in all, a good night of entertainment and food.
