It was very quiet when we went there. We were the only customers at the time. The menu and service are fantastic. We tried to return there last Friday but the place was locked and there was a padlock in front of the entrance. I found this odd on a Friday night as there website shows they are opened. There was no signage to indicate a reason they were closed. I very much enjoy this spot and have for decades as it’s made it way Into this current restaurant from the other restaurants that came before it. There’s a long history in this building.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here last night. We had an absolutely excellent experience! We were made to feel so special by the service staff and management, who were top-notch. The food was delicious - good portions and fair prices. Thank you to the 33 Bowen team for going above and beyond to help us celebrate a special night. We will definitely be back!

Originally decorated revealing the wooden beam structure of the initially built for Vernons Gingerale wharehouse. Beautiful architectural lighting dimly illuminating leather covered chairs and benches on original wood plank flooring. Novel place settings, good wine selections, great food . Sport bar feel with the ambience of a sophisticated pub. Great food, great staff. I'd like to come back when it's busier for a real feel. I wouldn't call it romantic but definitely cozy.Great job!

Great place, atmosphere and a fun night here tonight, although not so much for the Tiger-Cats. Bar manager did a fantastic job hosting the Grey Cup with give aways and free food.

Had the opportunity to be in the downtown Hamilton area for business. Restaurant was recommended as a site to eat. When arrived I was a little concerned as there was no one around. Place was empty. Shortly after seating the lunch crowd arrived and the place filled up.Restaurant was clean and tidy. Service was fast and efficient. Had a sandwich off the lunch menu that was great. Enjoyed the meal. I thought it was well priced and would certainly return. Pub type fare and atmosphere and pricing for lunch was reasonable. Dinner menu was a little more expensive than I would like but did not try the selection so can't speak to portion and taste. Beer was reasonably priced and similar to other restaurants.

This is truly the only negative review I have ever left on a google review. Did not have a very enjoyable experience here. I should've known from when I first walked in and was not greeted by the hostess. The manager proceeded to greet me, but didn't seat me until the hostess returned. She seated me while I waited for my friend to join. Noone approached to ask if they could get me a drink in the meantime. My friend texted me to ask where I was, turns out she had been seated upstairs after I had already arrived and been seated. I wish this were the end of the disappoint. When I asked for some lemon/lime for my sparkling water, my waitress brought it back on a bar napkin and placed the napkin on the table. Never in my life have I seen someone bring lemon and lime on a napkin. The food was very average. Photo is of the grilled cheese". Sorry to say I won't be back"

A great place to join friends and family for a few drinks! The food and service is exceptional.The owners Stephen and Graham came around to make sure all was good and our bartender Shannon was very attentive and super nice.Highly recommend this place for an evening out with the girls and catch a band!

I like the ambience of this restaurant. It wasn't busy on a Saturday night. Service was good. We ordered a pork chop, beef brisket and a salad. The pork chop and the salad were good but the brisket was disappointing. It was not tender.

Held a 10th Anniversary party for about 80 people here and it was excellent! Great atmosphere for mingling. Food was good and plentiful and the bartenders did a great job. Malcolm (the manager) was there the whole night to make sure things went well. Only issue was seating -- it was a bit cramped during dinner but if you are doing buffet style it is fine. Highly recommend and I would go back!
