Amazing experience. Tumultuous rapids, from placid river in the slack period to white water rapids.

Lovely spot to view the reverse falls. Work seeing at both high and low tide to witness the change. There is also a zipline course on.. well above.. the site

Nice view of the mill & rapids from reversing falls. It's not a spectacular place to visit but it's a park none the less and there is a nice view of the water. Photos taken in the morning of April 2017.

Park is dated. Much of it is quite aged although there have been some positive, recent renovations lately. Many will be distracted by the Irving Pulp mill on the West side. However, great views of the rapids from here.

Apparently recommended by a local to come here for the tidal bore / reversing falls than at the bridge.

Went there for fishing and there are lots of striped bass during high tide.

Make sure you check the tide times before visiting or you will have nothing to see but an ugly pulp mill next to a normal river!

A really nice area to view the rapids from a low tide. Be sure to follow the path and check out all of the parks look outs. The Reversing Falls is our most prized tourist attraction in Saint John. It's quite something to see but should be noted that it's not actually water falls that reverse but rather large rapids. Basically what happens it the St. John River empties out into the Bay Of Fundy/Atlantic Ocean at low tide creating some very large rapids. Then about 12 hours later when the tide is switched to high the ocean pushes the river backwards and the rapids pretty much dissappear. There are lots of high vantage points to view the phenomena in the area.
