U.S. Customs and Border Protection - Sweet Grass Port of Entry

I had to drive 10 hours to finish a waiver application. The whole thing has been embarrassing and stressful. Of course, I was nervous because it can be intimidating to get finger printed and asked questions, but the gentlemen who work here made it all worth it. I showed up after business hours, they were still happy to help me. They were so quick and efficient. They also answered all of my questions, some unrelated to the waiver. They were so knowledgeable and helpful, and made me feel way better about the process. They were very friendly and didn’t judge me at all for my mistakes. They truly made an impression and I am very happy that I came to this port instead of somewhere else. I could have saved time by flying to a different port, but the long drive was definitely worth it.

Very pleasant trip of passing the border from here, Mr.Peters was very professional and patient, it took about an hour for pass the border on Wednesday afternoon, very satisfied, highly appreciated, God bless America!

I will say a little long with one long line.I had never seen the list of items that are forbidden to enter.I had 4 eggs left we bought in Idaho and did not finish them off.Find the forbidden list and follow it. Wish I had known I would have not had the eggs left. This was not as easy as going to visit Canada then returning.The officers did try to make light of it with me but I guess I was taking it all to seriously.All the officer wore tattoos not sure why or the meaning.When all said just don't bring anything from chicken or cattle or any livestock meats.And no vegetables or fruit.Took me an hour to find some of the things online but every official are still human and subject to add things on the list as I read.

Most disrespectful, wastes of life working the American side. They even stole perfectly legal products out of our things. Cannabis is legal and as such there's literally no reason to steal my grinder and pipe that was a gift from a family member. Wish nothing but the worst for these POS's.

This place was poorly managed, dirty and unprofessional. The officers were condescending and racist, not to mention biased to people who dont speak fluent english. Our car was searched when we were pulled to the side, and then we were essentially ignored for 5+ hours while at least 6 officers were just talking loudly about personal life and cursing. The bathroom coming from the US to Canada is in a weird separate area, and it was filthy and I had to look for a stray roll of toilet paper because everything was out. I forgot to mention the fact that the bathrooms had a notice that they may be surveilled. It seems almost as though they get commission pay for being rude, or trying to instigate an argument so they can deny us entry. Embarrassing.

The border officer's attitude was extremely poor. Despite holding a Chinese passport, I was subjected to extensive questioning. It's important to note that I am neither a member of the Chinese Communist Party nor hold any position within the Chinese government. My intention in coming to Canada was to seek freedom and escape from the control of the CCP. I am bewildered as to why I faced such unreasonable scrutiny. My family had to endure a two-hour ordeal at the border, and as a result, I have no desire to go through that experience again. In contrast, the Canadian officials at the Canadian border were far more pleasant and professional, leading me to develop a growing affection for Canada. I genuinely love Canada.

Don’t even know what they’re doing. Most rude person I ever did meet.He sent me back into Alberta for no reason, didn’t believe me I was vaccinated in 2021, said it wasn’t even needed then which it absolutely was. And once he knew he was wrong and my vaccine checked out he sent me back anyway making up that I had to get a bond for my truck. I cross the border every year twice a year never had to have one. I would recommend taking any border but this one. They think they have so much power over us. Absolutely ridiculous.

This was my first border crossing where I had to wait more than twenty minutes. My sister and I waited close to two hours at around 12:30. There was one long line about a half mile back and no signage. Thankfully no one tried to cut the line and everyone just got in the line and waited.I believe they only had one line open but then opened another and finally another. I wish there was more signs about regular vehicles staying to the left and trucks to the right.Thankfully the agent was nice and got us through in less than three minutes. Very professional and respectful.I’d plan again to come earlier in the day instead of mid day or maybe later in the afternoon.

I always go late pm early am, there's never any traffic. 5 minutes and I was through. Very pleasant customs official and another easy crossing. God bless you USA and keep you. ♥

This officer named Wyant was so rude!!! If you have had a valid reason to be rude then i’ll be fine with that but there was none! Obviously, you are an immigration officer and you have the power to refuse entry and you think we will be doing things to be refused entry! We did exactly what we were told by the gate officer, so no reason for you to be so RUDE! Why so rude? Having a bad day? Power tripping? What?!!! Also, what’s the relevance of you saying that you don’t hang out in Canada. Did you think we’ll hang out in this US border office when there are a lot to explore in Canada’s side. You very well know the process that people do at US-Canada borders so?!
