Spruce Grove Daycare Ltd

My daughter has been going here since she was 15 months old. She has moved up through all of the rooms from baby to Pre-Kindergarten. We left for 5 months to try a daycare that was closer to our home to shorten my daily commute to Edmonton. That was a HUGE mistake and we returned as soon as we could. The staff at Spruce Grove Daycare genuinely care about the children and their needs.

Both my daughters have attended and loved this daycare. When I return to work, my newest daughter will be attending as well.

Hands down the best daycare in Spruce Grove. Great Staff in all the rooms, my son loved coming into daycare, the only reason we took our son out of the daycare was we moved away. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality childcare in Spruce Grove

This is a FANTASTIC day care with a committed operator of over 20 years. The children are always happy, supervised, kept on a regular schedule and well cared for. When my Nephew went here 15 years ago, he flourished socially. Home made lunches are served, no lousy food or bring your own lunch here. The central location in Spruce Grove is large and recently renovated. Don't take my word for it, go see it yourself before you decide on your day care provider.

A home away from home. I cannot stress how grateful I am to have my children in a clean, bright, organized environment with kind, loving and caring staff. Despite working downtown Edmonton and living in the west of Edmonton, we have driven our kids here for the past 3 years and will continue to do so, as long as they require care. After visiting various centers that would eliminate our commute, we concluded that the care and trust we have in Spruce Grove Daycare is unmatched and our children are in the best place possible.

My both kids go to this daycare and they love it. The staff is amazing, they do so many activities with kids, their weekly program is great and my kids are learning so much. We also love that they have the in-house cook who provides fresh and HEALTHY meals everyday like soup, rice, veggies so you won't find your little kids eating pizza or hot dogs like most of other daycares /day homes!

Absolutely the best daycare my daughter has ever been to! Caring staff, and a wonderful, happy environment. They do tons of crafts and have lots of outdoor time. Would absolutely recommend.

My children went to Spruce Grove Daycare for nearly 3 years......back very early January 2018 the daycare flooded and was closed for 3 months. During that time parents were not kept informed of what was going on. I know I would not be the only parent to claim that. Numerous different dates were provided of when the daycare would open and when it did not opened when promised we were given 2 days notice. During this time bussing was cancelled for students and Spruce Grove Daycare owner and director offered no help in finding child care for my 2 children. During the 3 month shut down I missed work, rescheduled my work hours with other staff and switched childcare twice for my children because of lack of communication on the daycares part. And when I approached the owner about it she was less than helpful and made everything sound like it was about her and that I just needed to be more patient. I would have been patient if the lines of communication had been open but they were not. I ended up hearing through Parkland Transportation that the daycare was not opening before the daycare had notified the parents and that is why bussing was cancelled as the daycare was only for be closed temporarily.I pulled my kids from the daycare mainly for how we were treated during the time it was closed but also for other issues that are not mentioned in my post. We are now with a new facility. Needless to say the owner is less than approachable and friendly and really is in for the money only. When I emailed her asking for her to prorate my month of January as I paid $1430 childcare for 5 days, she offered to only charge me a daily rate of $80 per day per child plus a hourly rate. I had a contract saying I was on a monthly rate and she refused anything but offering me what she felt was fair when it really was not. She owed me nearly $1100 and was only offering $690 taking the rest for herself. She owes 2 other parents that I know of money and from this date has yet to pay them. I have received my full amount that was owed to me only because I took other action but most that are owed money if their children did not return after the flood damage was repaired will probably sadly not get paid.There are a couple staff members that were wonderful with my children and my children loved them but the staff only have so much control over what happens in the daycare. The main decision is up to the owner who has never been reasonable when I’ve spoke with her. And really the lack of respect the owner gives to her hard working staff is terrible.It was really dissapointing and hurtful to know that is the type of appreciation that is received from a small time business owner after being a long time client who was never late on payments. I would absolutely not have my children back there ever even if the daycare paid me and would not recommend it to any other parent.

We started at this daycare in January and it was the best decision to make the move. It is by far the best childcare we have had!! The staff are amazing, they do so much learning, crafts and outside time. My son enjoys his time so much and I know he is in great hands.

Our daughter started in April and she absolutely loves it. It was the best decision to move her from dayhome. She has grown so much in the last few month she even cries to go on the weekends. All the staff are wonderful to deal with as well
