Jazz shows here have been fun. Sometimes they're weird and other times they're chill. Price is cheap too. $15 for a ticket is so low. Comfortable seats and $6 beer.

A really neat neighbourhood venue for arts & culture. The annual Brightside Festival takes place here, as well as numerous one-of and ongoing performances by local artists. The space is very intimate and hosts a limited audience size that allows you to sit up close to the artists and experience the performance in a very different way from the giant spaces of Jubilee or Jack Singer. Come to Theatre 1308 and enjoy local talent!

Small intimate space. Has a stage and piano and sound system. When I was there it was set up to seat 60. Could probably have fit another 15-20 but I didn't see an occupancy certicate to know for sure. A friend had a classical voice recital there with piano accompaniment and just her singing. No mic needed.

I attended Calgary Jazz Composers collective volume 6 and it was amazing. The place is cozy welcoming with great artistic vibe.The volunteers are awesome and super helpful.

Did two days of symphony rehearsals here prior to a Stravinsky recording. Graham Neumann (host/facility operator) was extremely accommodating, super professional, and always happy and eager to communicate. He never lost patience with any of my plentiful questions and special requests with respect to logistics, which makes a percussionist’s life immeasurably easier. Graham also gave me a first class tour of the venue’s formidable multimedia equipment array, which evidently renders this theatre more than able to facilitate all kinds of cool events. Would highly recommend this venue; it’s great!

Nicely configured theatre. No restaurant if you are expecting to eat.
