Arbutus Midwives

The midwives are just amazing, the dedication and care they provide their patients is beyond extraordinary, no amount of words will ever suffice in describing how absolutely wonderful they are (I tip my hat to them)

I recently had a home birth with my first child. The ladies at Arbutus Midwives were amazing through the whole experience. My husband had reservations at first about Midwife vs Doctor and was very hesitant on a home birth. Beth, Jenna and their student Julia eased my husbands anxieties after only a few visits. Their care before after and during the birth was professional, compassionate and exceeded my expectations. If we are fortunate enough to have another child there is no doubt we would use these ladies again.

Received absolute top brass care from the team at Arbutus. Everyone on the team is an experienced, caring, evidence based practicing healthcare professional. Selecting this practice was the absolute best choice I could have made for my first pregnancy. Raven delivered our daughter and gave us a very special birth experience, it was a day I will never forget. It was hard to say goodbye to these ladies, you feel like you’re a part of the family after 10 months of having them by your side.

Supportive and caring

I had such an amazing experience with the midwives at Arbutus. From prenatal to birth to postpartum I have found that they really listened to my needs and concerns and I am really grateful to have been under their care!

I've felt very well taken care of during pregnancy and birth and postpartum by the ladies at Arbutus. I truly feel like there have been no gaps in my care and I feel heard and listened to by all of them. I had Beth present for my actual labor and birth and felt so well cared for and looked after. She really exuded confidence and calmness during my whole labor and birth process. For post-partum I had many of the ladies call and check in but Raven was my primary midwife I saw for postpartum and she really reassured a lot of my postpartum concerns and made me feel like I could discuss any concerns I had with Her. Overall I'm very grateful for the care of all these ladies. I'm still in the postpartum period so I still will be seeing them for the next couple weeks. If I'm still living in Langford for my 2nd baby I'll be going back to these ladies for sure.

My care at Arbutus was predominately through Laura, who I would recommend without hesitation.
