Kainan a place to eat
Went to Kainan with my husband for a quick lunch. Ended up staying longer than we planned because we really enjoyed everything and decided to not rush and enjoy our time. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The food were a good portioned and tasted authentic. Over all experience was great and we will be coming back with friends.

My first time in, server was very friendly, gave me some recommendations as I was unfamiliar with the cuisine. Food was great and quite filling. Ended with a flan for dessert. Would definitely eat there again if in the Shediac area.

We came to Kainan on a cold and rainy evening We were met with smiles and a warm welcome. The restaurant is spotless and bright. The food was delicious. I had the ginger chicken and my husband had the chicken chow mein noodles. Of course we shared a flan for desert. Amazing. They also serve breakfast which we will try. Great experience.

I ordered the ginger beef and rice and vegetable rollsThe rice I've never had such horrible rice The moment you put it in my mouth it turned into mush I've never, or seen, rice do that. I know what sticky rice is and this is not sticky rice. This was gooey rice ... The ginger beef was okay flavor was good texture I'm assuming they made it ahead of time and then reheated and you could tell by the quality or, lack thereof, the beef was not a good dish he could use more vegetables...so the dish out of 10 I give it a 4With my rolls I did not get any dip which sucked kind of hard to eat it dry

This is authentic Philippine food! My so favourite is Pancit, but anything in the menu is delicious! It’s not expensive, and they are friendly.

My son and I had a great supper at Kainan. Grace served us and she was super friendly and knowledgeable giving us wonderful insight into Filipino food. They have typical Canadian fare also and other stir fries...but we wanted to try Filipino food.I had Pork sisig and garlic rice. The pork is a skillet type of dish with a generous amount of pork sautéed in onion, bit of chili and a mayo sauce...with an egg on top. I had my egg scrambled on the side. Very flavourful dish and the garlic rice was a wonderful side.My son had the Filipino breakfast with garlic fried rice and a fried egg. He chose the Longsilog which is a tasty no casing Filipino sausage . He also quite enjoyed his dish. Then we finished up with Leche Flan which is a caramel topped custard. Very rich and dense and the homemade carmel sauce is just the right amount of sweetness to balance the flavour.Great supper and super yummy homemade deserts with a Filipino flair. We will be back!Shelley and Liam
