Obvious case of discrimination against my son, because of non-french background!We registered our son online and were contacted a few weeks later by the management to be informed that a spot has become available in the infants’ room for August 2019. We were told to come and visit the place and leave a deposit in order to save the spot.I went there with my son and upon showing up at the daycare received a cold welcome. Despite expressing my great enthusiasm for putting my son in a french daycare I was told at the end of a short tour that there was actually NO spot available!!I explained that this was indeed very different from what they had told me in the email and that we had made an appointment that day for me to pay the deposit and save the spot. The manager said “oh no, I am not sure.. I have to check again.. maybe we will have something later.. I will check again and contact you in a couple of weeks!”I was never contacted again, nor received any explanation about this bizarr and unacceptable behavior.It brings a chill to my heart to believe that in this day and age, and in a country like Canada, my son is rejected a spot in daycare because of his background and that there are still people who know so little about multiculturalism! This becomes even more problematic when people with such clear favoritism toward specific ethnicities would be trusted with the raising and care of our babies who are going to build tomorrow’s society!I felt deeply disappointed and hurt about all this interaction and wondered how a town so close to a large urban area like Moncton could be so outdated and backwards!My husband and I are a young professional couple with skills that are in high demand in Maritime area. We moved here a short while ago with high hopes about raising a family in a friendly and peaceful environment. It is deeply disappointing to receive such unfriendly and biased gestures from the close community that we are now so dependent on, while being away from our family and network of people in Ontario. It made a very negative impact. Very disappointed!

The owners of this place are beyond unprofessional. Given the fact that they REFUSE to pay a worker, the lack of maturity would not make me want to bring my children anywhere near this place. Disgusting.
