Went there on May 2, 2023 arrived at 5:30 they close at 6pm. The fellow in the garage saw us arrive as he was closing the garage door. Walked into the showroom and nobody was there at all. The fellow from the garage did not appear. After maybe 10 minutes someone walked in - and walked right past my husband and I. He appeared to be on the phone using a headset, but he gave no eye contact nor sign that he acknowledged our presence, and went into his office with window into the showroom, so he could clearly see that we were there and waiting. We waited for another 10-15 minutes, and he still was on the call. This is not customer service - he could have at least held up his finger to advise us he would help us shortly, or called the person on the phone back. We walked out - potential customer lost as we were serious about buying a car radio and having it installed there.

4 or 5 years ago, I had a car starter installed at JD. About a week ago, I was having trouble with it and pushed a button I probably shouldn't have pushed, causing it to somehow be reset or disabled. :/ I called JD to make a service appointment, but the gentleman I spoke with suggested I call back the following day, when Danny would be available, as he may have been able to help me fix it over the phone. Well, Danny spent 15 minutes on the phone with me trying to work it out, but to no avail. He told me to come by the store, no need for an appointment, just call before coming to be sure they weren't too busy to slot me in. Today I called and went by, and Danny had everything fixed up in about 10 minutes. When I asked how much I owed him, he outright refused to accept payment and simply chalked it up to good service". This place is garbage. My dad got a back up camera and radio installed on his Ford f150. The technicians are incompetent. My dad had to go back 6 times to correct the issue with the camera not working properly. The image was reversed and not always working when going into reverse. He had to argue multiple times for them to get the job correct. They finally changed the camera. I do not recommend this place at all. Don't go find another place.

I would of never thought to come to this place, but am I ever happy I did! The guys (Danny and David) were great as they took the time to get the right info and tools and adapters to finalise my car radio installation (Pioneer car radio in a ‘16 Subaru). Communication was complicated at first with my emails bouncing from their email server, but we worked it out in the end. Pricing for the job was firm and it was the same on the day of the installation as what was agreed upon prior. 42 years in the business, and it shows!

My 20 year old son made an appointment to get a real sound system for his brand new car . I went inside J D Car Stereo Inc and was blown away with the stellar customer service that Danny the owner and David Gabriel was the professional who installed the stereo system. I have to say not only was the customer service impressive but the variety and high end selection of speakers,radios, accessories was extensive. The layout was organized and Danny was such a nice guy he never complained or acted bothered when my 5 year old grand son wanted to walk around and look at all the equipment. I was surprised he had accessories that people in the photography industry might find useful for example special wires,batteries and little tools that one might find useful. The pricing was more than fair . Thank you Danny and David for the superior service. Ps. My son chose the old school brand Kenwwod !

Honest people, which is already more than what I can say for half the garages in Montreal. Lets me in the garage and watch what they do, provides advices without asking. Planning to get a new stereo/amp next year, definitely going back. Also very reasonable price

5 stars is not enough!!! These guys are awesome!!!! David and Danny did an AMAZING job. The prices are more than reasonable. They are very knowledgeable and I would not go anywhere else. They don’t just want your money, they want to make you happy. I drove 70 minutes to go JD car stereo when I have a store 10 minutes away from my home. I will only do business with them in the future. Don’t make a mistake and go elsewhere!

IM GOING TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE , I PURCHASED A CAR STARTER AS WELL AS A REVERSE CAMERA FOR MY CAR LAST WINTER . THE GENTLEMAN WORKING AT THE CASH HAD MEMORY PROBLEMS AND THAT WAS OKAY WITH ME SINCE IM VERY COMPASSIONATE TO PEOPLE BEING SICK OR WHAT EVER ISSUES THEY MAY BE GOING THROUGHT. SO A MISTAKE WAS MADE BUY ORDERING THE STARTED FOR THE WRONG MODEL OF CAR WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE SINCE WE ARE HUMAN AND MISTAKES DO HAPPEN . COUPLE DAYS LATER THE RIGHT PART ARRIVES AND THEY INSTALL THE STARTER AS WELL AS THE CAMERA .THE GENTLEMAN INFORMS ME IF THERE IS ANY ISSUES TO JUST COME BACK AND THEY WILL FIX IT SINCE ITS UNDER WARRANTY. BUT NEVER MENTIONS THAT I NEED TO KEEP MY BILL . AND SINCE ITS 2022 AND THEY HAD ALL MY INFORMATION ON THE COMPUTER I FIGURED THEY WILL BE ABLE TO FIND FILE THAT WAY. I WAS WRONG AND NOW MY CAMERA FLICKERS AND MY STARTER TURNS OFF IF I OPEN ANY DOOR EITHER THEN THE DRIVER DOOR . AND THE REPRESENTATIVE INFORMED ME OVER THE PHONE THAT WITHOUT MY RECEIPT THEY WILL NOT HELP ME EVEN DO THEY HAVE MY INFORMATION IN THE COMPUTER . I ALSO HAVE THE TRANSACTION ON MY CREDIT CARD . SO I WRITE THIS HERE FOR PEOPLE TO KNOW HOW THEY WORK THERE AND ALSO AM ALSO GOING TO PLACE A COMPLAINT WITH THE PROTECTION DU CONSOMATEUR. AND I WISH THIS NEVER HAPPENS TO ANYONE ELSE .
