Great staff, currently the only place accepting new patients, vet tech was super friendly and able to deal with the matter quickly and professionally while also showing compassion for our pet. Many options for food and treats as well.

We called Sydney animal hospital when our 9 year old rag doll Toby seemed seriously ill. We called the clinic 30 minutes before closing and they told us to bring him right in for an emergency visit. Dr.McCormick was waiting for us and was so kind and compassionate. We had given Toby to my 90 year old grandmother recently and he was a very loving companion to her. Dr. McCormick was so patient with my grandmother and took the time explain each step of the exam and what he thought was best for Toby. Unfortunately, the news was not good and Toby needed to be euthanized. My grandmother was devastated and Dr McCormick was so empathetic and made sure she knew there was nothing more she could do or could have done.The clinic did not make us feel rushed and gave us time to say goodbye. THANK YOU DR. McCormick for making a very difficult situation a little more bearable. Your compassion, patience and empathy did not go unnoticed.

They have been dealing with our Maggie since she was a pup, and I think their pricing is okay.

Yesterday we brought our Princess Leila in to be looked at. She is a 15 year old MaineCoon. The compassion and dignity shown by the staff and especially Dr. Gupta. Her end was inevitable after tests and he and his staff showed us so much empathy. So much love. Dr. Gupta made sure she was not alone and she had a very peaceful passing. We chose to take her home to be laid to rest with us. The way they handled and got her ready to be laid to rest was so respectful. I can not say enough or thank Dr Gupta . Words are not enough. I had an emergency visit with my very first pet today at Sydney Animal Hospital. I was very anxious and upset because I haven’t had these issues come up before with my pet, so I didn’t know what to expect. The receptionist(s) I spoke to are amazing and were extremely helpful even over the phone. Dr. McCormick looked at my pup and was very reassuring everything was going to be okay and gave a treatment plan and explained everything so throughly. This emergency visit couldn’t have gone better. Everyone was very helpful, I’m happy I chose to bring her in at Sydney Animal Hospital.

I needed a urine sample done and she said the price for a urine exam is $265 (like what?!) so i said it would have to wait till next week because I can’t afford that price for a urine sample this week so I asked if there’s anything they could do because it was an emergency. the lady at the desk yelled in my ear and said “no, it’s not my problem! It’s your problem! Goodbye!” And hung up in my ear. I will be phoning in eventually to discuss this issue with the manager because I have no clue onto why she went on that way.

The staff is great, however don’t expect to ever be out of here within a reasonable time. They’re always over booked/late when it comes to appointments. They don’t provide notice to clients that they’re behind schedule which is extremely frustrating.
