Be cautious to enter your personal information on their website or when you register their workshops because they collect and reveal your personal information without your knowledge and permission!Today I saw an email from BCSIS about a renter's rights workshop that I am interested in, so I registered it. When I register, they only required me to enter the information of name and email. However, I received emails from BCSIS SUCCESS telling me I am not eligible to attend the workshop because my status in Canada has changed (I received my PR two months ago). It's OK for me to not attend the workshop, BUT I am SHOCKED that they know my updated personal information without asking me! I have not used their services for more than one year and I just changed my status two months ago. I only revealed my private personal information to federal and provincial government and they are not one of them. How do they know? When I thought back, I remember one month ago I registered one of their workshops about interview skills (which they did not allow me to attend at last) where I entered more information at the registration website. That information is only for that workshop registration purpose ONLY. However they automatically collect the personal information and reveal it without permission! I am scared to use their service again even if I can. I immediately unsubscribed their emails and asked them to delete my information as soon as possible. The staff replied and said they will delete and apologize.
