Took my money and now won't respond to emails :( My son is still not playing soccer.

Severe weather statement for the area. New to the club, checked the website, saw nothing. Called and dealt with a very aggressive, rude and innapropriate individual by the name of Sergio. Soccer clubs deal with weather issues. If your website doesn’t address a severe weather statement at 4:30 pm on game day, your office staff should be prepared to deal with phone calls and your “Office Administrator” should be checking the weather.

It was one of the last days to register for the EAST YORK SOCCER CLUB and we made the commitment, signed up and paid in full online as requested . Mothers Day was that weekend and we spent the entire day trying to find soccer shoes and accessories as everything in the nearby stores were sold out . Our 9 year old girl was super excited as were we because she has yet to participate in anything since that pandemic . Practice / practice game was to begin on May 15 . Daughter’s excitement was on par as her playing an hour of ROBLOX . ( wow ! )We receive no welcome e-mail after joining just an invoice of payment . At this point we don’t have any details , (team , field , etc ) so we drive to the East York Soccer Club itself on the Monday . We first try calling of course as they do give a number on their site yet it is perpetually busy during the entire time of the office hours each and every day.( WHAT ? )When we get there they say there aren’t set up yet for the newcomers ALTHOUGH they were perfectly set up to take the online payment transaction . I asked if my daughter could at least practice with the others girls until they get us newbies in their system . I mean it is only house league . The individual representing the club said “ oh no she can’t do that but a coach will most definitely get in touch with you this week “Two weeks later , three e-mails that I sent , three times showing up at the club , more than 5 times calling only to hear a busy signal ….. No answers , no replies , no welcome e-mail , no coach , no team …. I’m guessing NO SOCCER ?I’m here telling everyone who cares to read this story because I find it quite disturbing that clubs , companies , small businesses need to understand that If you cannot fulfill your commitment to your paying client , if you don’t have your business organized to run effectively , if your customer service is terrible or better yet next to none or non existant then maybe just maybe it’s time to do an evaluation of the current situation . If you are going to continue in your business venture then I suggest that you actually dip into the funds and spend the money to get a system in place , pay other people to help support you in the area were you are lagging ….DO SOMETHING at least to make your business better , your clients happy and the kids in this case proud to be part of that organization . Right now EAST YORK SOCCER CLUB you need to get it together because for a company that has existed for 45 years ( Another WHAT ? ) you would think that your club would be the example of what works instead from the reviews that I have read ( should have read them sooner ) you’ll be lucky to make it to 50 years at the rate that you’re going .

Great coaches. Really appreciate the volunteers. The staff however are impossible to communicate with. Suggested they restart their Twitter account for weather updates. Received a rude email in return. Extremely frustrating when you’re a community service.

I had been a big supporter of this program for years as a parent, volunteer coach, and multiple year as a sponsor of multiple teams a year. This past year 2022, I sent in a sponsorship payment to the email address that was provided to me from Dragan at Contact@ email address.After not being included in the sponsorship and sending numerous emails looking for any kind of update, I had to actually go into the office to check up on my sponsor payment and what was happening. I was told that I would have to wait for Dragan to get back at the end of August (2.5 months away), when I sent another email saying that was unacceptable, I was then told that they had been hacked and that They were not doing anything to help people recoup their lost payment in a rather rude email from Bert and Mindy.The level of professionalism of the communication only went down from here. The never apologized for the fact that it happened or offered any type of resolution other than you are on your own.I am not sure how it got this bad as an organization, but this was most disappointing. Now I am out $350 dollars and left with a negative impression of the organization.

This club is a disaster, it has been for years. Save yourself from dealing with unprofessional people and an unprofessional club and got to North Toronto Soccer or Markham Soccer. If you just want to try out soccer then don’t stay for more then one season.
